King James Rempes cue for sale!

I don't know what that stuff is worth, but it makes me sorrowful to see him selling the World Straight Pool Championship Trophy. Aren't these things usually sold after someone passes?

I wonder if Jim is raising money for travel funds for the IPT Tour or something like that?

Jim Rempe truly is one of the greats.

I agree, its a shame but he must need the money,it tells alot about the sport, you wouldnt see many of the other games greats selling of there treasures.:(
I remember seeing all of Mosconis trophies on Ebay a year ago,i know he has been gone for over 10 years now but it was still sad to see.I seen his wife Flora in AC at an exhibition between Loree Jon and Jeanette Lee,she was sitting right next to me in a VIP booth with Willie Jr.,i wanted to ask her why they were being sold ebcause they were on Ebay at the time but chose to ask her about his run of 526 instead, very nice lady, she actually gave me a magazine from Jersey with an article of Willie in it,i will always remember that.:)

Mr Jimi's cue

Jimi has been a family friend for 35 years at least. If I rember right that cue has jewel quality stones in it that were part of the crowned prince of Siams national treasure. Man that was a long time agio but my dad and Rempe were on the road alot togeather and if I rember right those stones are jewel quality. I tinik10,000-15,000 was the value of the jeweled cue long ago. Jimi won the rocks and never wanted to lose them so he had them put in the cue. I called him up and talked to him last year and we laughed alot. I can't rember if the stones came out of a crown or something like that but the jeweler that looked at them before they were inlayed in the cue almost had a heart attack.

in the description it says he has been using that particular cue for 15 years...
torwards the end somewhere it says that...

anyways.. all the shafts are red dot shafts and some black dott which arent even used.. but the red dot shaft only came out like in like 97.. or so..
that would only be like 10 years... not that it matters..

> I'll bet Jim Rempe has more cues than he can possibly carry. The one I bet he still regrets selling is the original Crown Jewels. He sold that cue, valued at 10k,in 1989 at a MPBA event in Memphis for 17k,then watched the buyer walk less than arms reach away and sell it for 85k. Word has it no one has seen the cue since. Perhaps the long-standing Memphis authority Ribdoner can comment here,he was there I'm certain. Tommy D.
