Klenti Kaci v. Shane Van Boening in China -- LIVE NOW!

Thx for the link. Shame the quality is so poor.
I don't mind not having full hd but I can't even tell which are stripes and which are solids....

True dat. I'm loving this match, though. 3 to 3 at the time of this writing.

Are there another streaming channels availiable to overseas viewers? Facebook maybe? These live.qq.com streams are of terrible quality, i'd rather do with out.

WTH! The time ran out, 140 minutes. So according to the Chinese 8-ball rules, each player must shoot a spot shot with the object ball on the first diamond (not the traditional second diamond) on the other end of the table. First one to win so many spot shots wins the entire match.

I've never seen anything like this before. It was bizarre.

Klenti is still in it. This is a double-elimination event.

Oh, Shane wins, in case anyone is interested. He won the spot-shot battle. :p

Extremely bizarre, Kaci plays a safe, SVB kicks a good hit on the six, two people in black rush the table and clear it. They then set up that killer cut shot on the eight, some kind of sudden death play-off.

I didn't see it. Did they hit the time limit? IIRC its 140min then the shoot-out.

I believe if one player is ahead at that point they win the match and there is no shoot out.
So if a player is ahead by two at 100 minutes, he might start taking a little longer on shots?

I hope they've figured that one out already.

I did notice that the main ref has a timer in his hand that he uses every shot, I assume if someone is taking too long there would be some type of penalty.

You can shoot within the time constraints , and still slow the match down with shot selection.
...lotta safeties could allow the guy in the lead to retain it at the cut-off.

I don’t like the 140 minutes idea....I like how snooker does it...if you don’t finish your
match in a certain time, the players have to give up the table...and finish when another
table becomes available.
