I have been offered and told that this break cue is an xbreaker. But I doubt so. Would appreciate anyone who can help me on this.

Richard sent me one with that same color combo...looks exactly like, but you'd get no Cert. from me on the authent. of that one.

Is the tip mushroomed? (Pic 1) If so, it ain't Richard"s,

And- no writing on it? IIRC, Chan had name on all of his.

It looks like a copy of a 1st gen. x-breaker. Everything is good except the joint is not piloted. All of the xbreakers were piloted. The tip is also a way of telling. I don't see the xbreaker written on it either, but some xbreakers don't have that either if they have been refinished.

THAT'S THE GIVE AWAY......

OMEGA BILLIARDS HAD THESE FOR AWHILE.

IT'S A COPY.

Probably remaining stock from the same company that built these x-breaker. No name but same builder.

Regards,
duc.

There were some that were produced with the piloted 5/16-14, this one has the flat faced 5/16-18. It should come with a g-10 tip on it. There was a very heated discussion about these un-labeled x-breakers on here awhile back. Basically, the company that was making the first generation x-breakers kept producing them after Richard had the 2nd generation made by another company.

These cues can be bought for under $100 if you look in the right place. I won't get into if it's right or wrong that they are selling them. I have no opinion on that matter.

Not an x breaker for sure... These cues are usually for sale at $80 or best offer brand new on ebay. I'm willing to buy one for $60 shipped if anyone has one new or near new. They come out of Taiwan.

how many gens of xbreaker were there? from what i know, it was 2 right? gen 1 with the xbreaker words on the joints and gen 2 with the huge bumper?

Not an X-Breaker, not made with Richard's authorization, not made by the anyone connected with Richard. I know where these cues are made and they are not X-Breakers, factory seconds, or otherwise in any way shape or form connected with X-breaker in any fashion. They look like Richard's design because they were made to copy the X-Breaker.

So don't buy this if someone is trying to tell you it's an unbranded X-Breaker - It's not.

I don't think there is a differance between a knock off and the real thing!

What I was saying is simple they are both made in China, hell they could be made in the same factory on different sides of the room. I certainly would not buy it, what I would do is contact Rick Howard of Mace Cues and buy a Mace, no comparision as far as quality go's.

Take care

I wonder... it looks like the same g 10 setup as the X breaker, does anyone have on? maybe they can authenticate

From what i know, the tip, ferrule and pad are a 3 part combination. I did see a diagram for it, but cant find the link again :(

The tip screws into the ferrule and is glued in, the pad acts as a buffer

Hope this helps
