Kou vs Wu

Kuo 9 vs Wu 9

Kuo breaks and makes 4 with a long 1 off the long rail. Draws back to the 2 and over draws it. Runs for cover and shows the 2 full ball.

Wu thinly cuts it to cover off the 9, but overhits it. Kuo makes a decent safe.

Wu gets shorty out. Makes the 2 and gets CB for position to 3....what an awesome shot. 3 top left. 5 bottom right overhits a bit. 6 bottom left. 7 left side. Wu draws for the 8 and miscues again, but hits the 8.

Kuo takes the 8 for a long bottom left for top right portion of the table and the 9 on the same packet to go even.

Another BAD miscue by Wu on a draw shot. Never seen that kind of thing at this level.

Was it a miscue with his tip, or did he just hit it badly?

The pressure is definately getting to Wu. He just miscued a straight in 8 ball using a draw shot and Kuo captured the game. That's two miscues and a jumped cue ball off the table on the break in the last three or four games for Wu. I know when I get like this my eyes are glazed over and you can stick a fork in me.

Kuo 9 vs Wu 10

Kuo breaks and makes 1 and 4 with a decent 2. 2 to top left. 3 reverse cuts to the bottom right just short for the 5. 5 right side. 6 bottom left. 7 top left off the rail. 8 top right and a bit short to the 9. Bubbles the 9.

Wu has a table lenght 9 off the short rail 1 diamond from the bottom left with CB on the middle short top rail. Wu fires up a fine cut and makes that 9. That was awesome!!!!!!!!!

Who's going to lose first? Kuo just missed position on the nine and missed a tough cut. Wu makes a great cut shot from 9 feet away off the rail. These guys should be playing better at this stage of the tournament.

And a dry break. Finally after about 18 breaks.

Kuo misses a mid-difficulty 9 leaving Wu with a length of the table, razor thin shot, cueball and 9 almost frozen at opposite endrails. Wu shaves the 9 to make it 10-9. Lots of mistakes. Experience is what's lacking?

Kuo 10 vs Wu 10

Wu breaks and makes dry leaves Kuo with a shot on the 1.

Kuo make the 1 top right. 2 top left. 3 bottom right. 4 top left. 5 bottom right. 6 on the same packet. 7 bottom left. 8 on the same packet. 9 on the same to go even.

Can Rodney get a rematch today?

Really, that would be the nuts! I read on another pool forum that Rodney got in a little action game with Marlon Manalo on the off hours and lost. Not sure of the source and how true it is.

I'm sure all the U.S. players will come back with lots of intersting & amusing stories to tell!

Kuo 10 vs Wu 11

Kuo breaks and makes 6 with no clear shot on the 1. Banks and misses it, but flukes a safe.

Wu kicks hard and nearly flukes the 1 off the right side. Gets lucky for a safe.

Kuo gets the jumper and nearly makes it to right side.

Wu makes 1 to top right. 2 top left. 3 bottom left. 4 bottom right. 5 top right. 7 bottom right. 8 right side and overdraws CB for the 9. CB on the long left rail. 9 deposited to bottom right to go 1 up.

It will be fun to hear the war tales! :D

What's up with the score and play-by-play? Another doggone commercial?

Kuo 11 vs Wu 11

Wu breaks and makes 1 and 7 with a full 2 bankable to right side but no positional value to 3. Banks it hard to right side. 3 fine cuts it to top right and rattles it in. 4 off the rail to top right. 5 off the long rail for bottom left and missed. Kuo has a long 5 hampered cueing by the 8. Makes it bottom right and positions for the 6. 6 top left and 8. 9 for the rack to go even.

It's a race to 6.
