Kou vs Wu

Wu wu Choo Choo!

That kid has nerves of steal...man what a great time to get your break on! He was breaking phenomenal at the end...Kuo misses the 2 safety, kid runs that rack and then strings the next 4 to get the win.

I am still amazed...and nice to see the smiles of a kid between the final couple of shots.

Good luck Wu! I am sure we are gonna be seeing your name for a while in the pool world.

Wu is on the books as the youngest world champion. This will be very hard to beat record. Should go to the Guiness Book of Records for a very long time.

This is very awe-inspiring. I'd love to know more about the kid, how he got into the game, how long he's been playing, how his family feels about him shooting pool, whether he has any other interests, et cetera. What a magnificant story to follow!

Presentation time.

Marlon Manalo is called in with a big round of applause.

Rodney (with he big grin) is next with a big round of cheering as well.

Kuo next with even louder cheers from the fans.

Wu is called next and brings the house down.

Medals hanged over their necks and checks handed over.

The big trophy handed over to Wu with even louder praises from the fans.

Wu is crying and offers the trophy to his Grand Ma. Drops the bottom part of the trophy. Grand Ma walks over to the floor.

OMG, my eyes are welling up to read this, but they're happy tears for Wu!

or was it 5 racks if you include the one he got ball-in-hand on?

Wu is interviewed. Wu says that he thanks his Grand Ma as she was the one who encourages him to play better.

Wu's next question was where does he go from here. Wu says the he will defend his title next year.

3rd question: What is the key point in the match. The break and for the runout.

4th Q: How he rates the performance. It was a tough battle for both player at first. Both making mistakes here and there. Kuo gets the gear first and he eventually caught up to win.

I can kind of relate. Similar feelings when Gabe won U.S. Open, I have his trophy on my wall. He gives me all his trophies. (of course, he keeps the cash! haha) No, we received some tremendous blessings from him out of it.
Congratulations WU!

Thanks Blowfish...much appeciated commentary!

Great finish by Wu..basically running 43 balls knowing that any miss would probably be his last.

wow - they are talking about the highlights - espn USA SUCKS compared to this.

Does he have a bad relationship with his father? He smiled for a picture with his coach, but didn't with his dad.
