RIP Larry Price :)

My condolences go out to family and friends of this dear bank pool player and friend to me and my father. I spent my childhood in a pool room and many of those years I got to see a lot of road players. Larry being one of my favorites. Him and my dad logged alot of hours playing bank pool and he was always a tough competitor but a good sportsman. I am a hillbilly in many of the definitions of the word and so was he! I loved his country accent and his mannerisms. I'm in total shock and I don't think that is will sink in until I go to a tourny that he frequented or go "home" and hit some banks with my dad. So Larry this is to you XOXO I loved how you always wanted a hug and you always had a kind word to say. You will be missed but not forgotten... :(

So sorry to hear this. I've known Larry over 30 years and we never had a cross word. In fact we always had a laugh or two! I enjoyed being around him and watching him compete, even when he beat someone who I was backing.

Larry was a player's player, he would get up there and go at it. And you better play good or he would take you down. He got many a scalp on his belt, mine included. We played once in Dayton and he gave me 5-4 at Short Rack Banks. I won the first four games and thought I had him. He ended up four games winner! One tough hombre Mr. Price. I'll miss you bud. :thumbup2:

It's sure sad to hear that the pool world lost another one of the good ones...

I was told today that Larry's wife, Angie, passed away a short time ago also.

This was Larry & Angie Price at the '86 Carolina's Cup at Mother's in Charlotte, NC. They're sharing a booth with Calvin Harcrow & another man - don't remember his name.

May you both rest in peace...
