Billiardshot,
I know who you are talking about and I would like to add him to the list but unfortunately I can't find him on the AZ Billiards Members list.

JoeyA

Just write in "Dennis Dieckman" and that'll do. hehe

We're getting awfully close to 100......
Not on the list are going to be the pros and top players that post once in a while, the onepocket.org guys that hardly come here anymore, players/booth folks like Robin Dodsonn (robroy) and Neil Fujiwara (Fartsniffer), exhibitors (Cornerstone) and the like.

Fred

TripXQ (Triple Cross Cues) will be downstairs, in booth L13, right next to the Crown Cues booth.

How come my name is not on the list. I said I was coming. I never miss a chance to talk to Scott Lee.

Mike Howerton and I will be there working. We look forward to meeting all of you. To find us, just look for the grumpy-looking guy in the middle of the happy crowd. That is Howerton. I will be next to him.

"Everybody wants to get into de act!"

I guess that's it then. No more attendees for the Super Billiards Expo, eh?

Surely that is all of the people going to Valley Forge? There can't possibly be more AZers that are going.

Remember if you are not on the list, you can't go to the party.
JoeyA:shakehead:

I bet you Paul Frankel [ProfessorQBall] will be there, along with a few hundred Azers' not mention. Me - I'm going to Disney World with my kids and grandkids. But my mind and thought will be at the Valley Expo.

Unfortunately I do not think Robin Dodson will be making it this year. I asked her some time ago and she said no. I have not read the entire thread so maybe she changed her mind. Let's hope she did.

You have a safe and happy trip. As much as we'd like you to go to the Expo, you can't replace all those memories you'll make of special times with the grandkids. I remember all my grandparents and the fun we use to have going fishing, riding the horses, going to their small town churches, etc.. Woudn't trade those memories and I'm so glad I was the oldest grandchild on both sides, so I got to spend a lot of time with all my grandparents. Still have one alive and miss her, dearly.

Go make precious memories. We'll meet you at another event in the future.

wheres the party?

Joey,
You have one fine name.
I'm looking for the party too. There was a mention of a get together of AZers at one of the vendor booths/rooms but no party for AZ members that I know of.

I think some of the AZBers will be meeting at the local watering hole but this is my first time going to SBE.

Looking forward to meeting you there.

Someone had asked if we could use Crown Cues' booth as a check-in spot for AZers. Sounded good to us, so I've got pages ready for AZers to sign in and leave notes about what they're wearing, carrying, or where they'll be, so others can find them. They'll be at our booth...... Crown Cues..... lower level, L12. We are sharing a Diamond table with Triple Cross Cues. Stop by and see us!!

Pennsylvania Turnpike Construction

We should have left hours ago, but we're still here. I was just looking up the construction info on the turnpike. (Thanks, Jeeves!) and thought you all might be interested in where there might be lane closures, etc.. Check it out!

http://www.paturnpike.com/improve/conschedule.aspx

This is either my last post before we leave, or almost my last post before we leave. See you all there! Don't forget to stop by the Crown Cues booth (L12) and find out who's already there and how to find them!

Listed twice in the list...

JoeyA:

Apologies that I might be deducting one from your comprehensive list, but you got me listed twice. (Methinks this was pointed out earlier in post #53.) Also, it might help to put "Sean" in parenthesis, since: 1.) I'm certainly not registered as (or going by) the moniker "sfleinen" at SBE  and 2.) my usual introduction and sign-off (to e.g. people I meet and posts here at AZB) is my first name.

On the topic of identifying AZBers, I kinda like the idea of checking in at a certain booth, signing a guestbook and describing what I'm wearing, et al., and picking up a sticky-paper name tag. I have no problems wearing one while I'm at SBE. I'm playing in the Amateur Open (player "Sean F. Leinen"), so I'll be at SBE for the entire four days -- plenty of time to meet lots of AZBers and get "pooled out" for the week! :) Failing the idea of a central "AZB check-in / guestbook-sign-in" booth (i.e. it doesn't materialize), I'll probably print a copy of this thread and carry it with me, so I can check in at the various booths and places that folks had mentioned they'd be at.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Sean,

We have AZBers sign in sheets already packed. The Crown Cues booth is on the lower level, booth L12. Come check in and see who else is already there. Be sure to say hi to the short person (me), when you get there.

Some usefull information

For traffic information check out http://cbs3.com/traffic
PA State Police has also recently been doing safety patrol which means they are checking that you have a valid driver license, vehicle insurance, registration and state inspection. Please keep all paper work in the vehicle, I personally have scaned images of all three just in case in the glove box.
Please remember to remove ALL electronic devices from you vehicle, GPS, Stereo Face plates, celluar phones, most hotel rooms have a safe in them (small charges apply).
They are also doing roving DUI check points. Ask a security employee about these they typically have heard about these and know how to avoid them.

I go to Kunda Beverage which with in 15 minutes of city driving from the convention center. They are very freindly and have a nice selection of beverages.

A reminder to you out of state friends Pennsylvania has rules which are from the 30's. A place such as kunda's sells cases only and a bar can only sell a half a case at a time to one person per visit. Liquor purchase are made at the Wine & Spirits Shoppe which you can take north gulph road to south gulph and there is a new mall to the right. If you bring from out state and get caught the officer has the right to break or confiscate on site. (loss of sales tax revenue is the reason) so bury it in your vehicle deep.

Also if you are going to buy a quantity of beer 12 or more cases of any type of beer and pay CASH Kunda’s gives a ten percent discount. And that adds up quickly.
