Last Night In St Louis - Mosconi Cup Team USA

It was a great event orchestrated by Pool Maestro supreme Mark Wilson. If we had a Mark Wilson in every city in this country, our sport would be growing by leaps and bounds. A little disconcerting to read the hurtful words on what should be a celebratory thread.

I have a little experience owning and operating poolrooms myself, twenty two years worth, and I cherished every customer that walked through my doors, RICH OR POOR! Without them I would have no business and I did not differentiate between the big spenders and those who might only play one hour at day time rates and drink a single coke. For that reason I had a loyal customer base that gave me a good living for many years. Pissing people off is just plain bad for business and when I see an owner or manager doing it I know they are not long for this business. Bad news travels fast, as does good news!

At the same time I always reserved the right to refuse service to anyone who I deemed unfit to be in my establishment. I did not want disruptive people around my good customers and I let them know that. Carry on! :)

The real teacher, man.

You mean you've been a part of pool in the St. Louis area for 27 years and it still has the same problems as it did when you began? You really need to step it up and do more for the game.

Hmmmm.....

i think the 27 refers to how many posters he has pissed off in this thread and has lost as current or future customers.

according to him that means he has gained 54 new customers that do not mind his abrasive attitude because he speaks the truth.

Only 27, eh...

If you posted a bet in the action room you won't have a problem.. I got action within minutes betting them even also within minutes betting them getting 3/2 on the money.
It was a joke. But I have heart and did bet 100 even. :)
