Last Night In St Louis - Mosconi Cup Team USA

I have a really good feeling about team USA this year. I think that Mark and Don's planning and guidance is going to pay off with either a win or a very near win.

No body on FB jumped on my $100 bet on Team USA. :-) I guess I should post it through Stan James and get some odds on the money.

There is like... an action room here on AZB. If you are looking for even action betting on team USA you will get it pretty quick there. There has already been thousands of dollars worth of action lined up for the MC.

Midwest FoxSports broadcasts from there after the Cardinal games. They also do lots of functions with the Blues.

It only cost 100 million to build this complex next to Busch Stadium in St Louis. The big screen - 40 foot - they were showing the matches on was a mere Million dollars. Literally the best big screen I have ever viewed.

They don't just give you this space even though they are making money on drinks/food/parking. It is only thru the connection of Mark Wilson's step son who is one of the most popular radio DJs in town that got the 'in' to have the event here.

The stream was the feed directly from the professional camera crew they had on hand. I am sure it was there first ever filming of a pool match and they did a tremendous job.

Kudos to www.OnCue2.com, Teacher and his crew for getting involved. It was great that each of the Mosconi Cup players willingly became announcers for the stream when they were not playing a match. I hope many of you bought the stream to support what Team USA is trying to do for pool.

The playing conditions were tough. Lots of shadows and strange lighting over the tables.

If they could do an event like this in 20 cities across the US, they would really be on to something.

UTG was there. APA was there. Diamond was there. Oh and probably about 1000 people were there.

Mark Wilson told me he had been up since 6AM that morning putting the wraps on the final to do list to go along with this event. As of 10PM he still had not even had time to eat for the day. If people think he isn't working hard or doesn't care, they are amiss.

Oh and next week - do to the response of this event, Ball Park Village will be showing the 2015 Mosconi Cup matches on this 40 foot screen for anyone to come in and watch. Now pool is getting out into the public. Where else is that gonna happen? Pool is getting somewhere but it obviously takes work and dedication. Those of you that 'dog' Mark Wilson don't have a clue how hard he works.

We see what all Mark Wilson did/does to support pool.

And Celtic calls it practice....not worthy of his $10.

What did you do to support pool?....besides whine.

Really? When did that happen. Has it been here the whole time?

Could you find $10 to bet with, Celtic?

Most of the people who stream pool matches on PPV have received my business often and would admit that I am one of the fans of this sport that does spend money on PPV content often... You were one of them with the Shaw vs Bergman match and you would have been again when your PPV content interested me.

You personal attacks against me, saying I am just broke (and extending that to many pool fans and blaming them for the state of this sport) and calling me a moron when I attempted to answer a question to cmbwsu in the live stream thread have unfortunately ended any future PPV purchases I would make for your content.

you sure know how to conduct yourself, you're perfect for the pool world.....

That said, I am looking for action on the Mosconi Cup!

I have $2.42 to bet. Unfortunately there are 12 pennies but if you can scrounge up another 38 of them I think you still might be able to trade them in at the bank for two quarters.

Payoff via mail, winner pays the shipping because if I lose this bet I will be broke. :(

"PS" Can you also ship me an envelope if you win? :( :( :(

I love those who think businesses depend on them.

There are a lot of fish in the pond.

I fish for keepers.

I'm just one notch up from those who wouldn't spend $10 to support the Mosconi Cup Event.

Which happens to be the biggest thing that has hit USA pool in......forever?

Plenty of people would consider supporting the Mosconi Cup.

The pool of people willing to support things you are associated with will continue to dwindle the more you post on here.

You're not doing yourself any favors but of course you already know that.

I will gladly play the sacrificial lamb.

The message is that important.

I got banned from this site over 10 years ago....for stating the same truths.

10 years later.....truths are the same....so is the state of pool.

buying this stream isnt supporting the mosconi cup, unless you are giving proceeds to Matchroom.

shouldn't be long before you get banned again for the same thing.....I guess some people never learn, carry on.

Serious question, please read carefully, think about it, and answer objectively.

How do you think you are "helping" the state of pool by advertising to potential advertisers and sponsors on the most prominent pool forum on the internet that...

Pool everywhere is trying to do just that.

Time to purge and move on. Voluntary purge by pricing.

Nothing big will ever happen with a broke customer base.

This is one of the few places where a potential sponsor or advertiser would come to see how the current pool fan community looks. They would come here to see how active the forum is, how much participation there is in the sport, and how much interest there is in the pro game.

And you are calling the vast majority of the pool fan community "broke" and claiming you want to "purge" what remains of the fan base of this sport...

It's time to purge. History shows the sport has no chance with the current fan base.

And replace it with who?

We are the few people that remain that do actually try to support this sport, and it IS on life support at this point. This sport depends on a small group of dedicated fans that actually "do" buy streams, who "do" travel to events, who "do" follow the professional game and can name the last 3 World 9-ball Champions by memory.

And you want to "purge" those people. You are actually on here attempting to remove what remains of the fan base, with no real idea of where you are going to get any of these new fans to replace them...

You are proposing the complete destruction of the remains of the pool fan base, thankfully you are not really able to do that, because you have absolutely no idea where you are going to go to replace those few remaining fans this sport has.

What you are actually doing here right now is attempting to destroy what little remains of this sport, period. You are not the sacrificial lamb, pool itself is the sacrificial lamb in your little rant and you are the one holding the knife.

You say this as though this is the first ever Mosconi Cup.

Owning a camera doesn't make one business savvy.
