Last Will & Testament Wish For Your Cue(s)

My cues arent worth enough to worry about.

My wife knows about what the values of them are at least in range.

Like others here, I have coins and guns, that will be easier to get rid of, and have alot more value.

Last will and testament for the cues. One wants to get creamated. The other wants to be buried at sea.

I don't have a collection per se, but in my pool room, beside my players, are the cues of my youngest son and one of my uncles, both died in the last few years. It's important to me.They're not worth anything except to us, sometimes visitors use them.

I hope my family keeps the poolroom active when I'm gone, but my cues are just cues. I expect they'll stay on the rack, but if not, whatever...

Perhaps now more than ever-

Sooner or later, we will all go to that great Pool Room in the sky...OK, some will go that room full of unlevel, worn cloth, bar boxes in the hot & humid basement.

QUESTION: What do you want done with your prize collection of Cues?

For me, I'd like my sons to have one each, provided they have even a slight appreciation for the game. Yet, part of me would like to have at least one of them (a cue, not one of my sons) mounted in a glass case at a specific pool hall. There's a pool room in New York State that has a few of those on their wall. The place has been open so long I'm thinking that the cues on the wall are from players who were lost during one of several wars.

I would probably settle for just about any arrangement as long as they don't end up in the hands of someone who has no idea what they're worth and has no appreciation for them. -Z-

You?

Perhaps now, more than ever,
we should establish an actual Billiard Museum,
because you aren't alone in your want for your cues, cases and moments to be memorialized in an actual place with stories and provenance behind it.

I figured it would be hard for the family to get top dollar
or even a fair price for the cues so i have sold every cue
I have except the ones that are on order now to make it easier for them

There is nothing sentimental about any cue to me or them.
My Kling and the Kling cue are fpr sale in preparation

But then again,I always sell

I was under the impression Mike Shamos had already started that effort, I could be wrong.
Regardless, you are absolutely right.
Between the existing Hall of Fames for players, cue makers, Tour associations, Player's association, Product Manufacturers, etc., I would think this is a very attainable goal. -Z-

Dean.....I have never thought of you as offering for sale the cues you have presented on Az.
Often times it's a cue-maker that a fellow Azer might never have even duly considered before.

I prefer to think of your threads as introducing a great cue-maker to the Forum for all to enjoy.
At the same time, if anyone really liked the cue, you were willing to part with it. As I recall, it's
seldom that you've had to bump your own threads. The Forum pretty much does that for you.

How many Special Tribute cue projects did you do with Evan? I think there were at least six.
I know you did two Bushka projects with Jerry because I was in both and you have a similar
project underway with Bob. At the same time, you also come across some cue gems that you
had personally made like the Box Cue & Kling Cues, special ones made for you by Barry S.,
and other esteemed cue-makers.

You're also a human cornucopia for pool stories, cue-maker and road stories, and an endless
array of folklore and anecdotal stories which I think most, if not every, reader, enjoys. I know
one thing. I have a lot less money now because of you but I would much rather own the cues
that Bob & Jerry made for me. the last two turned out so splendid that basically those are my
main two players now......and gosh, in terms of looks.....can't get much better in my opinion.

None of that would have happened if it were not for the presence and participation of Dean on
the Az Forum and I for one can attest it is a better place because of Dean, and I also own some
dandy cues entirely because of friendship with him. I know there are others that feel as I do.

Thanks Mr. C.

p.s. Don't forget to massage those hands for regaining flexibility and strength..
with Bob & Jerry. In fact,
