Lately, Everytime I See Johnny...

He was staked to play Oscar Dominguez a money match…he lost…the backers lost..Oscar didn’t get paid….
….so the loser was the only winner….a rare case of ‘woke’ thinking enters gambling circles….he‘s unrepentant…he feels people are picking on him.
Thanks Pt! I truly had no idea but that is pretty lowlife gutter behavior, yes sir that’s what it is.

Pool seems to be have a lot of this type of behavior!

Saw JA play recently on a stream and it looked as tho the only way hes gonna make any money is by doing something other than playing pool.

No clue about anything that went on between he and Oscar but it seems there’s always been a standard in the pool world that people think they’re entitled to just sweep anything under the rug. Esp if they think they have name recognition. How many times do you hear about someone getting stiffed or shady games being played and the parties are still running around like it never went down. What happened to the days of someone not getting paid or people doing business and then getting their head busted. Did the modernization of pool make it ok to just freewheel with no worry of any consequences…

Watching Johnny right now.

He’s at DCC playing Jay Glasgow. Johnny missed a shot on the 8 ball into the side pocket a couple games back that an APA 2 could make 90% of the time.

It’s now Johnny 5 Jay 4. Johnny’s game is perfect for an APA team now.

Last thing most apa teams need is another player who needs to borrow $20 for league dues every week 🤣🤣

That's the modernization of American culture, my friend. All of our major institutions; politics, media, schools, courts, medicine, etc, have been doing things to minimize an individual's sense of personal responsibility for a few generations now. Add to that the fact that human nature is such that the concept and practice of personal responsibility are not innate but rather they need to be learned from previous generations, and you wind up where we are now, on the way to something even worse.

Look I don't wish Johnny any ill will, in fact I hope he does well with his come back if that's what you want to call it. But like some of the other posters above, this thing needs to be put to rest as far as this forum and the rest of the gossip cravers are concerned.

I wonder why anyone thinks it’s any of their business.
I wonder how many of the very people on this thread are behind on credit cards, car payments, rent or utilities?

Is that our business too?

If we see them working a second job should we get curious?

FFS give it a rest already.

If Johnny would take a tune up (or complete overhaul) from Mark Wilson, he might be able to make a comeback. That's if he can put away his ego long enough to do it. Otherwise he will always be a has been.

And if they are they pay penalties or lose the privilege. If JA wants good action then he should give good action.

It’s Johnny’s fault for not paying his bills, not some vague “modernization.” Not that complicated. But I guess some people nowadays can't help but make boring, overblown political statements about every little negative thing that happens.

Because…
  1. They are public figures
  2. We are talking about the outcome of a match they advertised to the public and streamed to the public
  3. They also went on a podcast to air out the details of the incident to the public
  4. There were backers on Oscar’s side that didn’t get paid and also made their part public
If it was just between them two, they would have done the entire thing behind closed doors.

I’ve seen bad action called out on social media before. I’ve also seen scam cue makers called out on this forum. It’s no different just because this time the lowlife is a hall-of-famer.
