Hope I did this right. Check out this video, it's a classic! If any of you know some more, please list them on this thread. http://youtube.com/watch?v=r9hIhAuk7Qw&feature=related
Dave, thanks for the compliment! The first time I did one of these (the one referred to by the OP), it came together rather quickly and took only a few hours. But the one you complimented took MUCH longer. I considered lots of songs before selecting the one I used. And I tried to sync the images with the lyrics real closely. For example, every time you hear the words "no tomorrow," the image is of a deceased player. "No expression" is always paired with a rather blank stare. "Worn out faces" with Danny Jones whose face was damaged in a car accident and so on. For me, the video creates a sad feeling, which is what I was shooting for.Blackjack said:

Thanks for this. It's so sad and he was so young. 35 years old. Makes you realize that when we are gone the only thing left of us is what people thought of us. Great find Blackjack.Blackjack said:Here is another one I found that is dedicated to the memory of Clyde Childress.

MHarris said:The song is "Mad World" by Tears for Fears. It was covered about 6 or 7 years ago by Gary Jules for the movie Donnie Darko -- it's a stripped down, more sullen sounding version. It's about a 9 out of 10 on the goosebumps scale every time I hear it.

Thanks for the compliments!jgpool said:Thanks for the video. Bill Porter can take some pool pictures for sure! Now we know he can put them together and convey a story, emotions, memories, and at the same time give a fitting tribute to some of the greatest pool players ever! Thanks Bill. IDEA: How about putting one together about the 1980 Rocky Mountain Open?![]()

I emailed Mike Haines to suggest to him that he try his hand at one of these "videos" using his images from the Reds tournaments in the 1980s. I hope he gives it a try. If YOU would like to do one on the 1980 Rocky Mountain Open, I'll send you the images files that I have from this tourney.
