The Honduran Rosewood Burl will look great on this Hoppe. The real pics will be a lot better. It will be #3 for the forearm. Veneer colors are perfect.

New ring design.

This will be a very nice cue imo, that burl is "sick".
I prefer just to use autumn colors, no black in it. It compliments the wood so nice imo.

Please share the progress.

I would do away with the ring below the wrap . or make it the same as the one above the wrap. JMO

Poolrod,

I agree with Lenoxmjs. Ring on either side of the wrap matching is the way I would go also.

But it is your design and you must trust your own instinct. There is no right or wrong.

First off, I have to say that this cue is going to be awesome with the burl Mr. Sly just posted. That said, I agree that the rings flanking the wrap should really be the same. I think the diamonds and dots flanking the wrap and then some solid ivory rings at A&B will tie in the Hoppe ring nicely.

<--- not good at ring design

I made the trim rings bigger for design, they will be standard size, the ring above the wrap will be unique. Everything will tie in nicely I think. Thank you guys.

for the veneer color i think natural-colden antigue canary - t-mahogany-black

I think that sounds real nice, will compliment the colors chosen perfect:smile:!

personally I would like brown phenolic, brownish (some that fits) leather wrap and the outside veneer color to match the burl wood - but that´s just me:p.

In either way it will be one nice looking cue imo.

I haven´t seen any of your cues upfront Leon but they sure look great on here imo!

Best of build

Rod, here's a few pieces of BEM i pulled out from over 40 pieces i numbered them 1-5 i think # 3 would look great with the hrb # 3 is quilted heart wood bem another wood that is hard to come by, the veneer color would be from inside out natural-golden antigue canary-t-mahogany-black.

My wife says door number three. That will look great. Thank you, the veneers are great also.

Great choice, burl and curl - perfect imo!
This cue will look "stylish".

You have some really nice wood Leon.

Guys, please continue sharing progress pics.

We will keep the progress rolling in here, it will be an incredible cue. Well worth the wait. I'm a very patient man.

Leon, you must be slammed with cue orders, your pm box is full, lol. Is this what you meant by outlined inlays?. Notched diamond though, not the fancy cross.

I did some trim ring work, is this better?. The design will be Notched diamond, dot dot on the butt sleeve, so I matched it in the trim rings.

Man that's going to look BEAUTIFUL.

I knew Leon would get a long waiting list, wish I would have jumped on having a custom sneaky made last year when it was just a month..
