I took a quick 2 hr lesson from Stan over the weekend. I was traveling back from a family gathering and called him to see if he had some time. He said he did not usually teach on the weekend but he could make it work this time.
He taught out of his home on a very nice Diamond which was tight but not rediculously so.
I wanted him to help build on the stroke fundamentals that I started with Scott Lee. He pointed out a few very subtle items and then we reviewed some other aspects of the game including my straight pool goal of running 41 balls.
Every item we covered was approached from a pro point of view, how do you do this now was his response to most of my questions basically he wanted to know my system. About half the time he got a blank stare right back from me because for alot of things I have no system just feel from years of play.
Stan seemed to have a system for all of my how do I do XXX type thing and I was only there a couple of hours. I hit 99.8 percent of the balls and he just kept pouring knowledge, thoughts and systems in and I have not quite recovered yet.
He is definitly top notch and I will be visiting again when I next go to Ky for my annual boat trip. I hope to get in most if not all of his foundation course, currently I am trying to figure out how to schedule that so I can get it all in in one trip.
Family, Work, Projects does not leave alot of time
