Alright, I'm going to attempt to dissect your post. Not because you're too new - I'm no elite member myself - I just thought your post was pretty extreme and harsh, and it seems like you're not the only one who feels that way. So I'd like to counter on behalf of the non-haters, lol,...

I am glad someone finally brought this up. I have wanted to start a thread regarding how Azbilliards has become like a Fatboy worship circus
So who is your beef with, AZ'ers or Fatboy? If AZ'ers are doing something that annoys you, why knock Fatboy for it?

, but I am too new, and my opinion is not quite respected yet. But, he is someone who just took up pool a year ago( by his admission),
You haven't been paying that much attention then. I believe he came BACK to the game a year ago. Big difference, but even if he had just picked up a cue yesterday, who cares?

and the fact that he was willing to spend 3 grand to enter the ring game at DCC, is like me buying a soda at the store. It was a whim, and he decided to do it because he can afford to lose 3 G's without noticing.
I've heard this line of reasoning many times on here, so I apologize in advance if it sounds like I'm only taking that out on you. That said, until you CAN drop 3 grand into pool on a whim, how can you claim to know what it's like? Most rich people I know do not just throw their money around on whims. I don't think Fatboy's going to be hurt by losing that 3k, but I would venture to guess that he understands exactly what else 3k could buy and he's not going to just toss it out on something that's not worth it in some way.

I personally believe that for Fatboy, pool is just a phase he will grow out of. But, for the moment, he has found a group of people who believe in him, and want him to do well, here on AZ.
This is out of line, IMO. Who are you to say pool is a phase for anyone on here? Besides, I think you're dead wrong about that when it comes to Fatboy, but let's say for sake of argument that there's a chance you're right. Shouldn't you be happy when you see wealthy people interested in the sport you supposedly love? If you can't be nice to them, shouldn't you at least ignore them while they're into that phase? Fatboy has already put money directly into this sport, and has hinted at plans to put a lot more in. No, not into your or my pocket, but into the sport in hopes to help the pros earn a good living. Are you against that?
Let's just say for sake of argument that Fatboy's the person you claim he is. In that case, your post should cause him to lose interest in pool more quickly, and we can thank people with the attitudes like yours for the continued sorry state that pro pool is in.
Luckily for the pros, and for Fatboy and his friends, your post wasn't grounded in reality, just in jealousy, IMO. As far as I've read, Fatboy loved pool as much as anyone on here and then retired from "the scene" when he started up his business, around 10 years ago. Like most people, he probably never stopped loving pool; it's just that life gets in the way sometimes.

Every person, rich or not, wants the exact same thing. The difference is, Fatboy has a LOT of money, which for some people is the same thing as having character.
I don't get it. So you and I want the same thing as Fatboy? Why hate on him then?

P.S. Fatboy, I read your post where you bragged about not going to your mother's funeral, and actually going to work that day. You related this story as a testament to how much heart YOU had (and people with true heart never brag on themselves), but I found your lack of emotion quite inhuman.
Wow. I can't believe you even brought that up. We all handle grief differently dude. Who are you to throw out judgments like this?
the420trooper said:
You tell a lot of stories about how cool you are, but having listened to your commentary on TAR at the Derby, and your resultng excuses for why you sucked so badly (real AZer's are following me here) prove that maybe you're just a rich guy who was never cool, who hopes money can buy him friends.
The funny thing about "cool" is that it sounds so "uncool" when people talk about it. Why are you so obsessed with who's "cool" and who's not? Let people make up their own minds.

My rep will probably plummet after this post, but someone had to say what at least some of us are thinking.
I'm sure your rep will do just fine. In fact there are probably several judgmental, negative, jealous haters who have probably increased your rep already for this post.
One last thing, by the way, I'm not swinging from Fatboy. I've never met him and probably never will. I have nothing to personally gain from defending him. I'd do the same for someone with no money if I think they're getting hated on unfairly.
It may annoy you to see someone who has what you want, but if you actually pay attention to his posts, you may find that he's actually a very humble guy. I don't know about you, but I admire him for that.
