That would be a pretty cool idea, don't you think. You know, someplace where professional pool players could have access to the latest and greatest training facility in the world, with pocket billiard equipment from every corner of the earth. Make sure it contains a physical fitness gym. Lots of video equipment for reviewing techniques and recording training.

Yea, that would be pretty cool.

lol.....................:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Yes, this would be good to centralize it. Needs funding though.

Table Tennis has such a thing: Just a few miles from my house is the Maryland Table Tennis Center which functions as the olympic training center for US athletes:

Not sure how other countries fund these type of facilities.

Joey, Joey, put down the pipe son!:smile:

Edit: It would be cool, but the money would be tough to find and maintain.

What's that you say? It's already been done?

Well, yes, in the Netherlands and Spain. The money comes from their Sports Ministry or National Olympic Committee, as I understand it.

This is kind of a different concept but what about a place where you sold memberships and it was open 24-7 with members given key cards or b pass codes so they could come and go as they please? Some fitness places are using that model.

I have thought of the same thing. Even with mini rooms so players can sleep, shower, and just rest. Location, Location, Location

After you figure that out then find a good place that is close to everyone. Again with the Location! Great idea Joey. I'm in.

You would only need about two tables for the amount of good young players in the states worthwhile training.
