Let's build a World Class Pool Training Facility

That would be a pretty cool idea, don't you think. You know, someplace where professional pool players could have access to the latest and greatest training facility in the world, with pocket billiard equipment from every corner of the earth. Make sure it contains a physical fitness gym. Lots of video equipment for reviewing techniques and recording training.

Yea, that would be pretty cool.

Thought it was a way of getting folks to the front page of AZ LOL... for those afraid to look the article ...

Brunssum, The Netherlands: The Billiard Sports Academy Jasmin Ouschan has just been awarded the title of "EPBF International Pool School" by the governing body EPBF.

The EPBF has just decided to award the title of an "International Pool School" to the training center which is founded and run by female top pool athlete Jasmin Ouschan. Located in Klagenfurt, Southern Austria, the pool school is equipped with the best and most modern technology available, including pool tables from various manufacturers for training and preparing on different materials.

In late 2014, the academy plans to organize a women’s event as a culmination of the year’s Women Euro-Tour circuit. The location is a VIP area in the sports stadium in Klagenfurt which has already been used for the European Cup in Soccer. This marvelous venue provides exquisite conditions for a high class pool event. Together with professional partners for the local and international marketing, the event will be the exciting finish of the women’s tour. The event is in its planning stage. The first meetings have taken place in order to finalize further details.

Pro players in the U.S are deserving of ZILCH, ZERO,NADA.
They are already on the lazy side and expect handouts, which they get more then their share of. What about cue sponsors, free tips, shirts, hats, jackets, entries to some events.

What else do you think they deserve for FREE? At some point you got to earn on your own.

If it wasn't for the amateurs they would not be getting what I listed above. But they would never think that makes sense.

This is the U.S. It's not Europe, Philippines, Australia, the government does not and is not going to pay them.

Lol.

This thread was just an exercise in having Main Forum readers to compare what other countries have done and perhaps obtain discussion as it relates to what others are doing.

It's not about what the professional pool players deserve or don't deserve.

Do you know if the EPBF International Pool School provides this facility to professional pool players FOR FREE as you suggest?

The great thing about pool is everything you describe anyone can have in their own home. Pool is not financially out of the reach of anyone if they so desire. It is not like say golf, tennis, or most other sports. Only someone with large resources can have a tennis court or olympic size pool, but a professional pool table and set up is about the cost of a cheap used car.

In my case it did require taking down a wall to give me a room 25 x 27 but still not really a lot of expense. I could not imagine a pro at the very least not having a table in their house. Video equipment today is very cheap as well.

You can always build another one. Learn by their mistakes.

Maybe Jasmin would be willing to share her secrets with us.

There seems to be a lot more at work there, than a pool table, a video camera and a pool instructor.
