I have always wanted #13I have number 10
That's my favorite.I have number 10
That's my favorite.
Yeah it's a good looking cue. I got it new in 86/87 played with it for a couple of years and went back to a Bill McDanielThat's my favorite.
AFAIK you didn't get that option. Bill marked ALL his cues. The more i look at your cue the less i feel Bill made it. All the solid ivory jointed JW's i've ever seen(quite a few) were ALL 3/8x10 joints. This might be a Nitti, who knows.I have had a good number of responses and I do think this is a Joss West that the original owner most likely did not want a signature or logo on it...I do recall that when I took it in trade I was told the builder and it was easy to confirm and Joss West does seem the name he told me...thank you
Stroud went through a period from 1990-92 where he had no external logo. On many of those cues if you take off the bumper he stamped JW and a serial number. Although at a dinner with him at my home one time he admitted the sn’s were just random numbers, not exactly accurate.AFAIK you didn't get that option. Bill marked ALL his cues. Yep. From 90-95 they were marked under the bumper. Stroud made this cue for me, delivered it personally to me at Arlington Heights, IL in 1997. I sold the cue to my very good friend, a world class gentleman a while back. We are the only owners of the cue. Stroud loved the cue‘s desert ironwood, and also said it was the only joint protector he ever made like that. An extraordinary cue now owned by one of the world's biggest collectors, and one of my dearest friends.
One last point: during the few years Stroud made cues with no logo anywhere and you acquired one, if you wanted a logo he always accommodated with no charge for shipping either direction. This particular cue had the logo on the buttcap when I received it new.
