Lightning strikes in quincy mi

I too would like to see photos of the new tapering machine Lee. I'd also like to know about pricing with the Kress router. Will the machine be capable of turning forearm sized pieces as well as shafts and butts? Will the machine accomodate a cue that has the joint pin installed? Let us know about pricing range and see photos asap. Thanks, Martin
 
if lee presells one machine this thread has done its job. ive known about this months ago. from what lee says it will be the stone cold nuts. smaller cheaper equal if not better and i believe him.

take it easy on the guy. how many of you can just go and grap $6K tomorrow if he posts pics today????? i know i cant. im sure if you have the cash right now youll get pics fast if you need them

What's the average lifespan of the router?

How much does the machine weigh?

What is the longest part it can accommodate?

you could easily do 100 shafts a day cycle time is just over one minute
you replace the shaft when router is returning to the other end.
the kress router is an option its costs $350.00 the shaft machine price is with out a router will offer 2 choices porter cable or kress Will will make 2 brackets for the shaft machine one for kress and one for porter cable.
good news is we will be posting pictures tomorrow on the shaft machine the last few parts i was waiting on will come in late today. machine frame is 1.5" x 3" aluminium it weighs slightly under 100lbs 33" shaft or butt will fit. router brackets for shaft machine are $75.00 kress or porter cable
shaft machine will be priced less router and bracket it will have a dove tail mounted on the z axis where your router will mount very quick change if needed. we will have a video and pictures and pricing on the base unit tomorrow sometime hope this helps with some questions you may have...lee

Yes it is.
But it is also big, heavy, expensive, and lacking it torque.
The weight does not seem to have any effect on the precision with which it cuts inlays and that is because the machine is built so well.
I use the Kress Router when I need the extra torque.
