this may not go over so well, but I was hoping to get an update about the status of Linds.

Why was the thread deleted?

How is he doing? Dead?

Russ.......

I agree. About an hour ago I went back 6 pages, 3 different times thinking that I had missed the thread but finally decided that it must have been deleted. This is the reason I just logged in again to ask this very question. Being a cue maker, this thread really caught my attention. I figured something was up yesterday when someone wanted to know how to get a hold of the moderators.

I would imagine that it was put to rest for a reason and maybe it is best that we leave it that way.

Linds is alive. I just heard from a friend of his in the PI. In his words, "Linds got shot up." This can't be good for pool in the Philippines. Who will want to go there anymore? And on the eve of The World Cup as well. Is there a message there? I doubt this went over too well at Matchroom, the producers of The World Cup.

I don't think AZ should censor a story like this. This should remain an open forum for all pool related topics, both good and bad.

Random thoughts...

1. To take a bright side view.....if he's alive that hopefully takes the chances of his attackers and anyone else involved being identified/caught upwards a notch (even taking into account Manila policing quality/reliability).

2. Very much doubt that simple censoring of something that's 'bad news' has much to do with it being removed. On the detection/investigation front it could be to preserve something said at a particular point in time and to avoid any editing getting in the way. On the caution front it could be that some of our Phillipines members are concerned about the possibility of more potential targets saying things in here in the emotion of the moment which might put them in more potential danger than they are already in.....etc etc.

Just sayin'.....

The murderers read forums.

A thread about this subject matter was deleted on another pool-related forum as well.

Any Filipino living in Philippines who participates on the pool forums on a regular basis and express their opinions freely should cease posting on all forums. Request to have your forum name changed privately to an unknown entity if you want to still participate on the pool forums.

I think all world pool organizations should not have any pool events in Philippines. In fact, I believe all players should boycott these events.

For a man to lose his life and another one all shot up, this is proof enough for me that Philippines is unsafe for pool people.

God bless Edwin Reyes, may he rest in peace. I hope Linds finds a way to keep himself safe.

Pool is not worth all this crap.

I'm interested too. hope he's doing well. it's strange that someone seems to be targeting all the talented cue makers from the PI

I'd still want to go. but i saw 3 people get stabbed in a club while i was in tj and didn't leave.

i hear too many good things about the PI for anything to make me want to not visit

I believe that what the Filipino pool-community needs now more than ever is support, not boycott...

We need to show them that we want to fight together.

If not I am afraid the murderers will win this fight...
