Linen wrap question.

wrap

When I got mine done a few weeks ago, I asked that he make it coarser. I guess he just didn't press it much. Coarse is the way to go.

less pressed i guess.

maybe wipe it dont with a very very small amount of achohol.

i dont have many ask for less slip. usually they want it smooth as possible

thats why i love old cortland

Well, I got caught in a torrential downpour once walking home. My cue case got soaked. One of my cues with a double pressed shiny wrap wasn't so shiny and slippery any more.

Explain please, I have a new linen wrap on my cue and I want that thing to fly out of my hands each time I stroke the ball.

How do I get a linen wrap as slick as possible?

Slickest linen wrap can be had by sanding with 320 grit sand paper and working your way to 1000 grit. Smoothest linen wrap you will ever find.

Pressing the wet linen gets it slippery.

Sanding will smooth out the linen but should the sanded wrap ever get wet or even damp from humidity, it's going to be a fuzzy, sticky wrap.

Putting wax on it makes it shine.
