Bobby's post in the other thread got me thinking that maybe we should start a list, and see what we can come up with. Just add any names you can confirm to the bottom, with a new number, and I'll periodically adjust the alphabetization.

What I have so far is in the first post.

Any name with an asterisk is either because I can't confirm 100% that he has run over 200 or I can't confirm he is still alive.

I also have this list of possibles:

Abruzzo, John
Aguerro, Billy
Altomare, Chuck
Aslin, Cetin
Babica, Radoslaw
Bandy, Mike
Becker, Kevin
Bell, Terry
Boyes, Karl
Bryant, Charlie
Bustamante, Francisco
Carter, Jeff
Chao, Fong-Pang
Chavez, Ignacio
Chin, Min-Wai
Dunsmore, Bill
Duregger, Werner
Fisher, Pete
Fusco, Jimmy
Glass, Walter
Hall, Buddy
Herring, Earl
Howard, David
Hunt, Bob
Jungo, Dimitri
Kempter, Martin
Kiamco, Warren
Louie, Dan
Madenjian, Bob
Manalo, Marlon
Marrata, Mike
Mataya, Jimmy
Matushonek, Ed
McNally, Pat
Nacovski, Scotty
Orcullo, Dennis
Pagulayan, Alex
Reid, Jimmy
Reyes, Efren
Ruocco, Tommy
Sambajon, Santos
See, Huidji
Sweet, Toby
Tascarella, Pete
Vickery, Howard
Wiggins, Larry

If anyone can confirm who on this list of possibles definitely has or definitely hasn't run 200, please also chime in.

If anyone can help with the Filipinos, Scandinavians, or Asians, that would be great.

Thanks,
Steve

Corey's high run is 153.
You forgot Lou Butera
I don't believe Rodney or Raj have run 200.
I think Max Eberle's high run is 180+ (however it was on 4 inch pockets)
Charlie WIlliams is 141
I think Raphael Martinez has done it (over 300)
Busta and Orcollo are questionable.
Don't know if Efren ever took the time as he gets bored with straight pool

Just a few off the top of my head.

Steve:

You might want to add Zion Zvi to your list of possibilities, that is, unless, you know for a fact his high run isn't 200+ (I'm not sure -- I've not had the pleasure of meeting Zion yet).

And also, I hope to make your list this year. My high run at the moment is 133, and I did run a 122 recently, but I hope to smash 'em both sometime this year, if this slight distraction called "work" will step out of the way for a period of time enough where I can hit balls consistently. I'll do my damnedest, though. :)

Thanks Bill, edited per your corrections. I'm shocked at Corey's run. I've seen him play 14.1 and he plays beautifully. Combine that with his talent and it's clearly just a function of his not playing the game very often I guess.

Btw, Mike Zuglan *claims* his high run is only 180, because he always stops when he wins a game. I find this highly unlikely but if it's his claim, I can't put him on the list.

Sean, you'll get there. You have the talent and are a student of the game. That, and some luck, is all it takes...

I'm confirming with Zion right now.

I think Frank "Sailor" Stellman, who has run 100 more than a thousand times has had to have run 200, but he won't talk about his high run. Maybe a contemporary like George Fels or a friend like Mark Wilson or Jeff Carter would know. I wonder if Jeff has run 200. There is also another guy in Illinois they talk about that played 14.1 pretty good, Mike Bandy. John Abruzzo? Bandy and Abruzzo are both disciples of Dallas West.

Also, How about Ralf Eckert? Anyone know his high run?

he's #6.

according to robert byrne, lou has run over 100, one-handed. as far as i know he's the only one on the planet who has done so. scroll down to page 88. http://books.google.com/books?id=42...ook_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CCAQ6AEwAw

Sausage, I updated the list after I saw Marop's correction. I did indeed forget Mr. Butera. ;)

Running 100 one-handed is the sickest thing I've ever heard. Dick Leonard has run 100 with his opposite hand, which is just slightly below that on the insane-o-meter lol.

There is a good list and looking at that list compared to how many players
out there. It is a small %. Very, very hard thing to do. Maybe compares to the all time Home Run list?
Vanover told me that his high run was 285.
I put a call into Leroy to see what his high run is. I can't believe, I never asked. I know for a fact that he always stops shooting when he wins a game like Zuglan but practice is another story.

I hate to ask, but who is Leroy?

Also, I just confirmed with Zion -191. That will soon change lol.

-191? That is a h*ll of a lot of fouls!

:D

-Sean

You know it's funny, when I saw that there was a new response I opened the thread and started scrolling down. Before I got to your last post, I looked at mine where I showed Zion's run and I said to myself, "that looks kinda weird".

And sure enough, there you were, to tell me all about it hahaha.

On a serious note, I did kinda remember that his high was just short of the 200 mark which is why I didn't add him to begin with. He will very soon break that mark by a lot. Very, very strong player.

Hi Steve,

That's an interesting list, but a little hard to confirm. It would be nice to have a list of those who have run 100 in competition, which is a little easier to document and I think about as hard as doing 200 in practice.

Steve,

I know of 2 candidates.

The first is Rodney (Babe) Thompson, out of Phoenix AZ. I have the pleasure of playing Babe occasionally. I am certain that his high run is over 200, I believe it is 213. At age 69 he can still dab 'em.

The second is Leil (JR) Gay. I don't know if he is still in Phoenix, but a year ago I asked what his high run was and he modestly answered "over 300". After watching him play I would not doubt it for one minute.

Thanks.

Bernie Pettipiece.

Wayne Norcross?

Another name I hear being thrown around with high runs in 14.1, is Wayne Norcross. I'm not sure of his high run, but perhaps someone on here might know -- or might be able to confirm with Wayne himself? (I don't know Wayne, I'm just going by memory from some videos that someone had posted in another forum about Wayne's beautiful slip-stroke.)

Klaus did run 356 yrs back, he ran 203 like 2 month ago also...he is the owner of the club i play in and we played in the same team for a while.

There are probably many players all over europe that are still missing in that list....
