Mixed results so far for the Filipinos. Israel Rota won his match against Muhammed Al Hosani, 8-4, but Dennis Orcullo lost to Mark Gray, 6-8.

Radoslaw Babica won, beating Oliver Ortmann, 8-6...

Who is Radoslaw Babica? I have never heard of some of these players.

The first time I heard of Mark Gray, there was a thread on this forum requesting a nickname for him. I read his bio, and he's an English player with some wins under his belt. Nice-looking chap. Nothing jumped out at me, though, to think that he was a world beater and is capable of beating Dennis. However, alternate break, anything can happen, I guess.

Babica a.k.a the choir boy ! longtime underrated player and an avid Efren fan. he seems to choke on his matches against big names but cannot be underestimated. once he gets the grove, he is capable of beating a big name.

Babica is actualy kind of a cutey pie. I was reading his bio. I have a soft spot for redheads. He does look like a choir boy! A very handsome young man, indeed. :)

Oh, the WPA-sanctioned one in New Jersey? I can't even remember who won it. Shows you how bad I am with straight pool. :o
