LIVE Scoreboard at World 8ball Pool in Dubai

Hill-Hill for Ronnie Wiseman. OMG, come on, Ronnie.

If Ronnie loses, he is out of the tournament.

GEESH. I wonder who go the break in the alternate break format.

I hope there wasn't a bathroom break and Ronnie had to walk past the casino tables.....:)

Alcohol, bars, night clubs, girls (including working girls), wild parties, every kind of sport including horse racing.......but definitely no totalisator, casinos or betting shops in UAE, even the online internet betting sites are blocked:)

Last year they had a day off aswell. Went to a place in the desert to eat, have a good time etc... Thought all the players liked it but at the same time they thought it was weird that it was in the middle of the tournament. Guess the organizers like it that way :)

Roy, remember that 4'11", 97 lb. guy who breaks like Django and pots cleanly like Marlon? Guess what? He's still in the tournament!

I could be wrong but if I recall correctly from when I went to Oman for a couple of jobs they don't work on one of the week days. It could be related to this, it wasn't a weekend day thats for sure and there wasn't any exceptions, our man in the gulf I'm sure will explain?

PS
Told you Stepanov can play a little! ;)

Brits have recovered from a bad start, I think we will have 2 in last 32.

The Filipinos were cut in half, from 10 to 5. I hope Mark Gray's win over Orcullo will lit some fire into his belly and play the game again, be it pool or snooker!

There's nothing special about Tuesdays in this region. For this tournament it's simply an off day.

As far as I know (I'm still flogging my guts out at work in Abu Dhabi cos my business partner is in hospital so I couldn't get up to Fujairah to play qualifiers or watch) those players who wish to go are being taken on a desert safari and there is a gala dinner in the evening.

This is certainly what was scheduled and planned for Tuesday 22nd in any case and have no reason to think that has changed.

Note for The One....you may be thinking of Thursday as Thursday/Friday used to be the weekend in Middle East. In most places it is now Friday/Saturday. The Middle East weekend has never been Saturday/Sunday and will always include a Friday as that is the Islamic equivalent of our Sunday:)
