Cool! :p

Tell us a little about Dimitri. Is he the redhead choir boy?

JAM

Well, yes JAM, he is. Dimitri is a talented player and first class gentleman too. He's only 25 yo and father of a ~2 yo kid. He does'nt play pool full time because he has to work...

He was 9-ball world junior champion in 2000, in Canada. He was 9-ball junior european champion too. He's also the youngest Eurotour winner at the age of 17 yo. Last month he won an international tounament in Switzerland after a nice final against Daryl Peach. There was also, Tony Drago, Nick van den Berg, Huidji See, Christian Reimering and many others in this strong field of 184 players.

He looks like a kind man. I can see it in the eyes of the picture I found of him. :)

It would be interesting to see how he would fare in the States if he can ever get away from his full-time work. That is so tough when you are a pro player and have to earn a living because of family responsibilities.

It seems in this day and age, if you want to play pool professionally, it helps to be sponsored by your country or a rich stakehorse. If you have to fund yourself, the expenses will eat you up alive.

Mama, don't let your babies grow up to be pool players, as Willie Nelson would say! :o

Ralf Souquet is pulling out ahead, 6 to 3.

Neils is close to the finish line, 8 to 4.

Dimitri is tied, 3 to 3.

I had not seen these pictures of this tournament that Jerry Forsyth took. There are only a handful of them.

I did not see very many, if at all, of the lone three Americans, which was disappointing to this reader. :(

And here's Fabio in Faijairah at the tournament with the prince. WOW, poor Fabio didn't make the qualifier rounds.

Fabio is another good-looking chap! :p

Last night's gala must have been some celebration. There is no RunOut Radio video clip today. I wanted to see what everybody ate at the food orgy! :p

Who is this Filipino Alan Cuartero who is kicking Wu's butt 4 to 1 right now?

JAM

I just got home Jennie! Alan Cuartero is the guy that I've been talking to Jay about. he's about 4'11", 97 lbs., breaks like Django and pots cleanly like Marlon!

He's prolly in his mid 30s but looks like a teenager. I've staked him a lot of times when I was still back in Manila. He definitely shoots straight, at bit careless at times and has no patience. He's the type who shoots first and ask questions later kinda guy. He always goes for it, and he's definitely not lacking in braveness.

His motto? Kill or be killed!

Btw, he's on the hill now!

'Bout time you showed up. You're missing the show! Elvis is trailing Souquet by a game.

Tell me something about Elvis! :p

On the right, it's Bruno Muratore actually #3 of the European ranking.

Oh, I remember reading his name. He's Italian, I think. I would have loved to have seen Fabio in this tournament. :)

Interestingly, have you noticed that all competitors have to wear the same white shirt with all the logos on it? That's an interesting dress code.

I like it that the women have to wear the same shirt. I don't think it is fair that the men have to dress up, wearing uncomfortable leather shoes, balloon-like interfering long sleeves, and three-piece suits at dress-up tournaments, when the women can walk in half naked, with bare shoulders, butt cracks showing on national TV, and their boobs hanging out. I think the dress code for the WPBA is disgusting sometimes. That is my opinion, and I know I am in the minority with it, but fair is fair.

All players should be treated equal, I say. :)
