Live Stream Of Challenge Match~ BVal Vs Fast Lenny

I had a great time last night. I didn't play as well as I wanted to but that happens sometimes. Lenny played awesome and he was the better player last night for sure. I look forward to doing this again.

Brady,

You guys both played well. Lenny just had the better end of it last night. Things might have gone differently if you won the flip and picked straight pool first.

Both of you played well in your respective games, the difference was Lenny just executed a little better. It might have been different on another night. But you should both be proud for stepping up and playing your games in front of the camera. It was a pleasure watching and commentating. I hope I did ok ;)

I agree Ray it could have went different if we played straights first but I played a 9 the night before in straight pool and won 50-43 and 50-7 so I was feeling ok about straights,my only goal was to get the racks 8-6 or better and make my way there.I would like to play the match again down the road,I think we will even if its not live streamed just to see if anything changes. You did a great job on the commentary and are welcome back anytime,it was great having you there.

You better practice up brother,I am going to learn these straight pool patterns and next time it wont be 10s and 12s and a high run of 16,it will be 20-30 balls.Maybe next time we will get to the 10 ball. :p :thumbup2:

Im never cocky just confident, just feel like ribbing you a bit.Your right today is a new day and I am exhausted, lol,it was fun and I am sure next time you will play better as you will have the videos to look at where you went wrong as will I and I definately want to improve my 14.1 so I can run a 40 or atleast break my old high run.I honestly think I need to fix my horrible mechanics,I just need to find a volunteer who is willing to fix it but we might need to break my hand first. :grin-square:

Hey guys,

Can someone explain your rating system? Maybe 8, 9, 10 in terms of A, B, C?

Thanks,
Koop

The only glaring thing missing from that calculator is Ball Pocketing evaluation.

I would think shotmaking would have to be a factor in determining someones level of play.

Keith Mcready was known as one of the best Bar Box players in the world at one time....but not so much becuase of his kicking or safety play or shape...It was supposedly because he never missed a ball he could see.

I am sure he excelled in the other areas as well, but had he not had the shotmaking skills...I doubt he would have still been considered on of the best.

There are also local examples of guys that are 10 rated players (that I will leave nameless) that in my opinion don't posess any of the skills on the calculator to make them a 10 rated player, but becuase they have such excellent shotmaking skills they are 10s

I also think the opposite is true that there are players that posess excellent skills in the calculator area that are still lower rated players becuase they tend to miss makeable shots.

C'mon, Ken. Name some names... inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, you have to take the ratings with a grain of salt, because this was written many years ago and doesn't count on all the intangeables.

But for someone like Keith, you have to be fairly good or close to 10 speed on the other areas to continue winning, or someone that is less of a shot maker will beat you time and again.

Not you... but we both know the names of at least a couple of those players.

I just don't see any reason thought to expose them here...especially because they are "beyond excellent" shotmakers.

One of them I have even made fun of from time to time in the past.....I believe he goes by that mantra now...."I don't need no stinking shape"....and he can clear a rack of 8-ball faster than you can get back to your chair after racking for him. ;) ;) ;)
