Great job on the videos Ray. I know there are a lot of unanswered questions that people would like to ask our fearless leader, Lock.

Here is your chance to put him on the spot.

My questions.

1. What type of cue do you currently play with and what brands have you owned in the past?

2. Being from New Orleans where one can get many of the southern culinary delights. What is your favorite food? Eating food together can be a sociable event and seeing how Lock comes across as a very sociable person, I can picture him sitting there chowing down on his favorite NO delicacy.

Thanks Lock.

1. What was your "aha!" moment during learning the game? As in, once you grasped this skill or concept, your game progressed greatly.

2. Toughest opponent? Any player seem to have your number for no particular reason?

3. Best match played to outrun the spot?

4. What pro/road player he loves to watch the most.....besides Buddy Hall? :)

And when can we see some video of Lock actually playing in a match? I think the world is anxious to know his speed.

Oooooh, and what's his real name? :)

I was just informed via PM from Lock that I should have asked permission to start this thread.

So please, cancel all questions until further notice.

Maybe this should be renamed, The Lock Step Society.

What did we just do, take a step back into 1939.

I do believe that this has gone to someones head a tad too much.

Also, please cancel my membership.

I walk to the beat of my own drum, Understand?

I wish Lock and his membership happiness and success in their endeavors. Just not for me, I ride alone, always have, always will.

Haha....I KNEW THIS WAS COMING !!!! (was only a matter of time)

Now he'll apologize...you'll work it out....and in the end, you'll all still be followers....lol.

You guys are like a bunch of little kids with a club house in a tree.

Didn't the "Jim Jones" camp start out this way ?

Nah, never had a tree in our yard big enuff for a club house. I wanted one tho. Swiss Family Robinson had a rockin house.

Tree forts are cool. But you guys (you finally woke up) are/were following him around like gum drops were falling out of his azz.

Its really sort of pathetic watching him make the "lock puppets" dance.

Glad to see you awoke from the trance sir.

Nah, I know Lock is a nice guy and so are the Lock members. Many are good acquaintances and I like and respect them.

I don't want to sound like Debbie Downer or a Hater but the only people that can tell me what I can or can't post own the board and not the owner of the Lock Society.

Thats where I put a stop to it.

I'm sure many of these guys are good people. My point is that it is/was literally disgusting watching guys trip over themselves to please him. He made this "society" up...lol. In my opinion, its a much greater honor being a member of the AZ family. That's the only club we need around here.

Blue Hog Ridr,
I thought I said ask or tell me about it! I did not even know about this thread until someone PM'ed me. I said what thread! I did not put another thread on AZB. And then I was informed it was not put on by me. You did it. So now you tell me what knowing about something about you has to do with rolling alone? I thought I should have at least known about it? Freedom of speech is a known thing. But if you don't think I should have known about a new thread about me answering questions about myself, then it must be OK! I think you took my PM the wrong way. You were a good active member. Thank you for that. If I was going to post a thread about you on world wide AZB, I would have at least told you! So you would have known what the person was talking about when they PM me and ask me why I did not answer their questions. Nothing has gone to my head either. By no means.
I work everyday, and I have been very business with what is going on with the Lock Society thread and several PM's to answer as well. Sometimes people ask me did you get my application.
And then someone PM me about a thread I do not know anything about at all!
Just put yourself in that position, you would say I sure world like to have known about it! I am trying to keep up with several things at one time.
Including my my job. You, Matt90, Bigtruck, JoeyA, PT109, Manwon, Minor Wood, The Baby, Thommy, Sean, B-Lock, and several other members have been helping me out big time! The Lock Society is not new. The interviews are new though. This Lock Society thread has 35 pages by itself. I thought PM meant private message? I did not post any of the PM's you sent me!
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

Lock, why does he have to ask you to post any thread about you or anyone else? You're taking his thread the wrong way--- I read it as being positive and now you're coming across as a dog pissing on his thread to mark it.

Relax. Just be honored anyone gives a shit enough to make a thread about you in an inquiring way, wanting to learn more about you.

I wonder if Lock n Load asked JoeyA every time he started a thread about him doing well in a tournament...? This is silly.

Sounds like you are jockeying for a name change if you ask me. How about Unlock? Or maybe Picked Lock. Or maybe just Broken Lock.

Or just stick with Blue Hog Ridr. I like that one.

It has been interesting watching the Lock Society thing for the past few months. It all seems quite harmless and fun, but also quite pointless after a while. Sure wish the Wei table worked. That's something I really miss.

Lol

May I suggest a new name for Blue Hog Ridr?

How 'bout "Locked Out"

No harm intended!

hmm... should I make a long post, a short post, or no post?

(Note: This is me just speaking out loud, not a actual question per se)

I need to ponder my dilemma and will decide later. Right now, I get to go play my one day a week of pool, and I'm not missing one minute of that.

Regardless, it's all been quite a insight on society, with so many different factors and plots and subplots involved here. Interesting stuff though, along with many comical twists and posts:smile:

PRICELESS!!!!! :rotflmao1:

I wonder if Lock n Load asked JoeyA every time he started a thread about him doing well in a tournament...? This is silly.

The answer to that is a little complicated more than I sent in my rep to you.

Lock N Load enjoys the Internet and pool like no one I have ever met, except maybe SmorgassBored who some of you may remember.

When Lock first came on the forum, he asked me if it was all right to talk about me on the forum and I said sure, just don't lay it on too thick, laughing all the while. Lock started out just fine but as time went on I got aggravated with all of the attention and the fact that his posts almost always paints a bullseye on my arse for all of the haters to take shot at so I told him that I didn't want him posting anything about me, nothing, absolutely nothing. As time went on, I could tell that it hurt his feelings and that he really enjoyed talking about Buffalo Billiards (which is one of the greatest pool rooms I have ever been to) and me and the rest of the characters that hang out there. Eventually, after putting the LOCK ARM on me, I reversed my wish and just told him to post whatever the hell he wanted to. I mean what harm could he actually do. Knock my action. That's been done before and it doesn't seem to hurt my opportunity to gamble with people. Hell, it might even help. A lot of people don't know that I will play cheap one pocket and when they come to town I know it's always nice to know someone who will play you for reasonable dough. The truth is that when AZBers come to town, I don't have the heart to gamble with them. I mean, it's my family coming to town. I don't need their money that badly and if they want to play for funzies, I will still give them a good game. I know that some come to test my mettle and others come to see just how easy the rest of the action at BB is but that doesn't matter either. It is what it is and I didn't and still don't think that Lock N Load has contributed to my demise. lol I still get the better players getting in fights over who gets to offer me weight. The better players will often knock their traveling companions just to get a game with me. I'm from THE BIG EASY afterall.

Anyway in summary, he did ask me, I told him No then I relented and just told him to do whatver the hell he wants to do. I mean, really, who am I to stand in another man's way to have a little fun. Just as long as he doesn't tell lies about me, I have no problem.

I think the problem with Blue Hog Rider is one that couldn't be avoided. Terry is a man who stands on his own two feet and doesn't "cotton" to others dictating what he does or doesn't do. Lock doesn't know Blue Hog like some of us have come to learn and probably could have done a better job of explaining himself to Blue Hog.

Terry, just a personal, but public note to you. Lock N Load isn't a dictator and didn't mean to come at you like he did. I haven't talked to Lock about this problem and don't plan to. I'm just telling you that Lock is a very personable type guy, who in my opinion, is still trying to wrap his mind around this AZB forum thing. He's working on it and he's getting more right than wrong. Give him another chance if you are so inclined. It won't be wasted on someone unworthy, that's for sure.

Lock, just a personal, but public note to you. Words mean things and the context can easily be taken out of the written word. There is no inflection, no wink-wink, no nods in any of the written word. Choose your words more carefully. As to PM's, I believe in them and while I don't like my PM's being broadcast over the forum, I know that it happens from time to time and don't say anything in the PM's that couldn't be said in the public forum. You still have a lot to learn about the forum protocol but you've been a nice bit of fun for some of us. Hope you stay around and continue to learn your way in the AZB world. Also, as Blue Rider said, you can't be dictating what someone else posts and doesn't post. Granted, you did ask me if you could post about me and the smarter part of me said no and better part of me said why the hell not.

The forum is here for everyone. The Lock Society has brought a brief but needed respite to the forum and most everyone enjoyed it for what it is and what it was. Hopefully, everyone can sing some Kum Ba Ya and everything and everyone will continue on their merry way.

Best regards,
JoeyA

^^^^ That was heart wrenching, tear jerking beautiful....like giving a retard a hug at the end of a race. Flat out inspiring !!!
