LOOK OUT Phoenix One Pocket Players

I just completed a custom cue for one of the best (if not the best) ONE POCKET players in the world.

Phoenix is fortunate to have him at the area venues (hope to see him in the local tournaments soon) and AZB is fortunate to have his stories, insights, and knowledge of the game.

I was honored to just build his new cue ;) and count him as a long time friend.

I don't think it is Scott. He doesn't post here.

I was thinking the same thing. My only guess would be Dick Moran, and I know he was crazy good, but possibly being the best one pocket player in the world doesn't seem to fit him either. I guess if he was going to spam us, he should have done it right and at least listed the recipients name.

I think it is for SJD who posts on here but who knows. I do like the cue though.

Very nice cue Jack.
Hope everything is well with you & Bev in the land of the big Griz.
John

Thanks, it turned out well. And hope to see you and Cindy if you are coming out this way this year --- summer has been nice not too hot. btw, neighbor has put in $40,000 in fencing to keep the griz out of his corn field this year - should be very interesting for us since we have the apple trees.

I'll make a wild guess, is it red mallee burl?? Never seen mallee burl used but it is similar to this...

Jack,
Wish we were coming out this year, not happening, our son's getting married in Oct and we'll be donating to the cause. We might make it next spring. I'll let you know when we do decide. Are you still spinning those balls around that table ? I'm betting as good as ever.
Good seeing your post. Take care.

Kenny,

Thank you. Your cue is one of my favorites since I probably spent more time with it than any other cue I have built.;)

Congrats to you all. And yeh, I am still at it. I know you like video etc of matches so you might see if I can prevail with a big kid/great player with credentials young enough to be my son ---- check it out on www.onthebreaknews.com. Not sure what I got myself in for but its all for the "love of the game" --- Its free viewing and Jeff & I are donating our time so enjoy if you get a chance.

Jack, people keep asking who the cue is for, and what kind of wood it is. Would you fill us in? Thanks.

Hey Jackie, Jeff was up here this week looking for action

BTW, where is the Battle of MT taking place

He told me he would be in Kalispell ---- was going to do some golfing, tried to talk him into some golf in Polson but will need to wait for a better time.

It will be in 3 forks - cheese's place. I have never been there but Jeff said he had played on the table and it was nice.

That's one of the nicest grains of wood I've ever seen. No clue what kind of wood that is... but it looks RICH.

Gorgeous cue... Simple, rich and elegant. Two thumbs up.
