Wonder how he takes losing at pool? Maybe thats why all the rooms are closing. He demands the hall to close and calls IRS, police etc after losing.
This is no place for someone causing problems for every member. I agree with a few bannings and this should be 1 person added to the list.
Any problems should have been addressed here. Funny really, saying raffles are illegal and then demanding his money back (knowing its illegal before playing).
I wonder if someone bought bad drugs from a dealer, could they go to police and tell them to get their money back because the dope was bad.
Maybe the police should arrest him for playing raffles. Someone call the police.

Giving the raffles their own subforum removes all deniability for AZB, a bad move in my opinion just for that reason. The site could be closed down for illegal activity but I don't think that is a strong possibility. A much stronger possibility is that AZB's account with PayPal could be cancelled or suspended. That would hit Mike pretty hard I believe as many do business through PayPal.
As far as any moral stand, I don't care one way or another about the raffles. I think they are a needless risk for the site and for that reason have always opposed them.

It's clear to everyone that read the auction the intent of the seller. Maybe he should have used bablefish and put it in Swahili and then there would be no questions. Maybe now the site needs to be bilingual so that when we log on there is a question: If you would like the English auction, press one. If you need the dumba$$ version press 2.
When it all comes down to it, two sore losers, a very good read, and a lesson for all the kids... it's ok to lose, you can always ask for a do-over, in fact you can demand it.

federal regulations
The regulations or links to them were posted on here in the past. Federal regulations prohibit interstate raffles, any raffles at all if I am not mistaken, except by certain nonprofit groups. Not even all nonprofits qualify.
In response to Fatboy and others, over 90% of the people I know who have ran afoul of the man thought they were too small to be bothered with. The one thing they all had in common was that there was an easy case against them.
