Looking for Black on Black inspiration.

I have a Rick Howard cue on order.

It is a 6 point - 3 high and 3 low. Ebony on ebony
3-4 Veneers in each point, colors of veneers to be purple, blues or greens. Exact veneers and combination left to cuemaker.
Ivory joint
Ivory hoppe butt
(2) shafts with ivory ferrelles
Ringwork left to cuemakers discretion

Delivery to be by Christmas.

Its a present from me to me.

I love Richard's 1 sided veneers, they must require some skill since you don't see any of the hacks ripping them off. Nice cue!!!

Actually, that would be relatively easy to do but, since it hasn't attained "classic" status, I would guess that'd be an obvious rip-off) :)
I'm sure you already knew that. It is a nice cue though (like most of them).

variatiom option.

rather than pure black on pure black, what about ebony and african blackwood.

i saw african blackwood on a libra cue. looked like ebony at firstglance, but up close it was actually a dark dark dark charcoal with a touch of brown, and minute, teeny, black hashmark-like grain patterns. overall it had a richer deeper quality than gaboon.
