Looking for lower end cue wanted for a woman

I've helped a lady friend as she is learning to play better pool. She's looking for a cue, in the $175 range. Although she's sprite at @ 5'2", she likes a heavier cue - asking for 20 ounces. She likes the thicker - 13 mm shaft.

I think her tastes would be tasteful - a classic, traditional look, so we can abandon the pink cues.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

How about traditional with just a touch of purple/pink. 20oz. 13mm with pro taper
Also a lot less money $80 delivered. It is brand new.

I have this Joss cocobolo 4 point into curly maple with Holly diamond inlays. 19.7 oz 13.2mm shaft. Straight and solid player. Just like new, if it didn't have chalk on the tip you would think it was new. No dents, dings or scratches anywhere. If she will do (This cue is now SOLD) I'll send it to her. Model #Jos-04

Meucci LJ-2P, 58", 19.8 oz. 13 mm shaft, $585 shipped

Screaming deal! If I were still playing ... and this were an ounce lighter...and an under 13mm shaft. I would try to buy this out from under you. You say she likes a thicker shaft and heavier cue... this fits the bill. Plus..... Joss cues play consistently solid.

That's a fine looking cue. To be honest, I don't know much @ cues. I've only ever used mine over the decades and never switched.

Last month I saw a guy playing with a cue and I thought it was pretty special. It had a tradional look, like a Szam. I asked him, he showed it to me, and it was a Joss.

Hey Bob, is this a production cue or custom? (Hope I'm not asking a stupid question) When was it made? What type of tip?

Thanks, I'm forwarding cues to Ann as they "come about".

Thanks all for the interest. Any that have sent cues for sale that are out of the price range, I seriously doubt she'll want to spend over $175 or so, but I'll still show her. I expect to get up with her Monday to review.

This Joss is considered a production cue. I bought it new 06/2008. (So I've had it 1 1/2 yrs and it's still straight. That's a good thing) It has a Triangle Med/Hard tip. It has not had a lot of use so it's still like new. This cue Weighs out as follows:
Butt weighs 15.4 oz shaft weighs 4.3 oz. This cue is a real sweet hitting cue and is well made. Let me know if you have more ?'s Thanks for the interest.

She could start off with one of these then maybe later on up grade the whole cue or just get a 314 shaft
