Loree Jon Jones on "The Price is Right"

That's for sure. I take lessons from her. She's beautiful inside and out.

I had an old carni guy many years ago teach me that skee ball (is that the name?) game (kinda like bowling) technique that really makes it easy to put the ball in the center hole: use the bank shot.

It is just like using the final rail to do the final kill on the cueball. It puts some spin on it and slows it down just enough to land in the center hole. It looks like Lori went right at it, not banking it (but that video was fuzzy so I could be wrong).

fwiw,

Loree Jon would never do that in a million years. There must have been some kind of misunderstanding.

There was no misunderstanding, and I don't even know if my daughter remembers it now, she's half way through college. I'm not saying she's THAT way, maybe she just had a bad day, but she turned around, looked right at her and did a little flip of her hair with her hand as she turned her back and walked away. One of the other ladies there commented on how rude that was, but I think she only remembers Allison and the others who went out of their way to show her some attention...no big deal now, but it did happen

I don't doubt that she did what you say. I doubt that she understood what you were asking and that you meant HER specifically. If she was walking to or from a match, she may have been preoccupied.

I am inclined to agree with you in this matter, Fran.
.....a misunderstanding, perhaps.

I met Loree and Sammy at the '89 BCA trade show in Nashville.....
.....I thought they were fine people.

and Sammy showed me a triple-bank one-hole shot that was worth the price of the trip.

I never met her, but I believe it would take a bunch of crap from her to piss me off from her. :p.Johnnyt

I knew it was kind of old because of the big 60-inch rear-projection TV in the grand prize at the end. :grin-square:

Wasn't the Macarena around in the mid-eighties?

Jammy, you've out done yourself with this little gem. I was cheering her on as if it were happening this very moment, instead of some thirty years ago. What a beautiful, and talented, young woman.
Bob Barker, by-the-way, went to college here in my hometown.
Thanks.

I actually remember watching that that episode. Great that they recognized her achivements. That was jam up. Jam, did I say jam up. Haha. Thanks Jam.

"As of 2011, the show uses multiple producers, all long-time staffers. Adam Sandler (not to be confused with the actor) is the producer of the show."

The women's tour came through central Illinois about 12-13 years ago, and I took my 7 year old daughter to watch a match. She really wanted to meet Allison Fisher cause she had watched her on TV. We got lucky and ran into a lot of the pros over at a back table, and they were so nice to my little girl, especially Allison. Allison gave her a piece of candy, praised her for her outfit, and talked to her for about 10 minutes. Lori happened to walk by, and I said, "excuse me, if you have a minute my daughter would really love to meet you". My little girl had a big smile on her face and put out her hand to greet Lori. Lori turned her back on my little girl flipping her hair to the side as she walked away. Allison is what "Class" is all about, some others...not so much!

That is just horrible, and really sad. Lori must not have learned any good values from her parents. I always loved Allison Fisher . Would love to meet her someday. Even better, would love to shoot a few games with her (lol, dream on Justin , right?).

I knew Loree Jon’s father and mother pretty well. They were two of the nicest people you would ever meet. They were great parents. FranCrimi did a great job of standing up for Loree Jon and saying that we should cut her some slack. I agree that there must have been a misunderstanding.

Passing judgment on people you cannot have ever met. Were those the values you were raised with?

Yeah..almost as bad as telling someone what probably happened when they weren't even there

I experienced something similar, which may be what happened to you, but I was on the other side.

We were attending the Super Billiards Expo, and it was crowded and hectic. It took us 20 minutes to get through the line to walk into the joint, and I thought that my other half was going to get forfeited. We arrived at the venue 30 minutes ahead of time, but at that time, they made the players and the spectators wait in the same line to get in. I was frantic and upset, worried, thinking my other half would be forfeited after paying the entry fee, incurring hotel bill, traveling there, et cetera.

A female who worked there for Allen Hopkins, who used to post on this forum, came up to me after we finally got inside. She knew me from AzBilliards and started to engage in a conversation with me, just trying to be friendly, of course. But I was so upset that I told her I had to leave. And I did so abruptly, without standing there talking with her.

Thereafter, she berated me on this forum and elsewhere, stating I was a snob. She also berated my other half for every single thing she could think of.

Needless to say, if I could do it over, I would have stood there and talked to her, but I didn't. My mind was elsewhere, and I was upset, though she had no idea. I wanted to get into the tournament venue immediately to see if my other half was forfeited. I was worried and concerned. My other half ran in ahead of me, and I needed to find out if he got in there on time.

There's my story. I'm not saying that's what happened with Loree and you, but sometimes things are going on behind the scenes that you may not be aware of.

To this day, this woman continues to rip me and my other half apart at every turn, so I have heard. I have not read anything written by her in a long while. I feel as though her wrath against me was unfounded, but there's not much I can do about it after the fact. :sorry:

Did you notice who came up on stage at the end of the show? I couldn't tell for sure but at least one of the girls looked like Vivian. Check it out.
