Twisting words aren't we?

No. It seems pretty clear from these posts that you think that if a player does see the foul that they have an obligation to tell their opponent that they fouled, but if they didn't see the foul then they do not.

She told you she saw the foul?

I think this is pretty sick, everybody accusing her with no proof she saw it.

Aren't you implying here that if she didn't see the foul then she did nothing wrong?

Do you think if she did see the foul that she had an obligation to tell LJH that she fouled?

IMHO - yes.

at the top

at the top level - all matches that are being marketed and filmed should have a ref in place. honesty is the best policy - however when dealing with shirt foul - sometimes a player may not know for certain whether or not they fouled. This is why we have no mas rule on all ball fouls - no ref's for the pro's.

laser sighting

It's even worse than that. "Probly" some disgruntled out of work refs aimed laser pointers into their eyes, disorienting them briefly enough to miss the foul.

Hell hath no fury like an unemployed pool referee in the stands at an unref'd hill-hill game.

I don't think your laser sighting is on, to be a ref you cannot be unemployed but what ever i don't expect any real responses from the banger crowd. See u in the peanut gallery. You joke about the state of pool and i don't find it funny. If u play me one pocket for $200.00 u can tell jokes till yer blue in the face, u would walk lighter - I promise. Konee-chi-wha?

If you dont see it how the F can you call it? How f'ing hard is that to understand?

Wtf does that even mean? I'm about sick of you.
Jason

It means that in a situation like JB's even if she wasn't aware that she had fouled I think she was still responsible for knowing that she had fouled.

If a cop pulls you over for speeding and you say, "I didn't know I was speeding," that doesn't get you off the hook.

Anyway, I'm tired of explaining things to you so don't bother responding.

I'm hoping that you are just acting dense.

So you don't mind if I crouch down right behind you on every one of your shots to make sure you don't accidently tap the cue ball with your tip on a practice stroke? And if it's ok, I'm going to stand right up next to the table (instead of respectfully in my chair) and police every one of your shots for the slightest hint of a foul. Is that cool? But don't worry, I realize pool was originally termed "a Gentleman's game" by Royals and I have more class, honesty and respect for my opponent than you obviously so feel free to just sit back, relax and have no worries. I don't need to win that way and will ALWAYS and forever call fouls on myself. The Pool Gods love it!

"Pool Gods HATE her! Learn this one trick from Jennifer Beretta that can make you $$$!"

If she didnt see it, how can she call it. She hit it plenty hard.

I was sitting right there and didnt see it.

It was hill hill, and a long safety battle, she hit the ball plenty hard to not have to even think about a rail. I wouldnt be so quick to judge - now if you already hate her, go ahead and keep badmouthing her.

As long as folks apologize for cheating pool will remain sleazy.

Zero possibility she was unaware of her foul. Her body language said it all.

Obviously, sitting on the sideline, you won't always be able to detect a foul, but anything that is close, you can simply ask the shooting player if it was a foul. If that player then lies, well that would be considered cheating.

This is so patently silly.

If it was a foul and the shooter knew it they have already cheated by the time you have to ask.

Never saw a cheater yet that wasn't also a liar.

What make pool sleazy is all the people accusing somebody with no proof. Carry on
