Low Low Low Lambros

Looks like it was made to be low cost from the description.

"A wrapless Masterpiece Cue from the shop of Mike Lambros. This is one of the new line of cues that Mike Lambros has introduced to give people the opportunity to play with a Lambros precision crafted cue without the high cost."

Sounds like what Samsara did with their Barcue line.

I wonder how close it plays to a standard ultra joint cue. The hit of the ultra joint is definitely worth the cost of a lambros cue.

If I recall correctly these were all made with a standard 3/8-10 joint (non ultra jointed) and were made my one of Mikes apprentices. The buy it now price is what they originally sold for as well.

I knew it was going to sell quickly.. it has Mike Sig so even if it was made by an apprentice I dont think it would be hard to sell and get your money back!

No, it's not.

These cues play do nice though.

Masterpiece Cues
From the Shop of Mike Lambros

Masterpiece cues are the ideal player's cues because they offer tremendous playability for the price! These cues are made in the shop of Mike Lambros by Lambros' well trained apprentices. These cues are built with Lambros' machines using Lambros' exceptional cue building techniques. These cues feature a unique 3/8 x 10 piloted wood to wood joint. The hit is very solid and sensitive. These cues have most of the playability of the Lambros cue at a fraction of the price. If you are looking for high end playability at an affordable price, you've found your cue!

Is this why the Lambros logo is different on this cue? I noticed that the L was missing on the logo.

I had some of these cues when they were released. They were built as "shop" cues. Mike did not build them, but they were built in his shop, on his equipment, to his production standards by other employees. They were very nice cues, retailing for around $375-400 at the time. Standard 3/8x10 joint, not a Lambros ultra-joint.

They were marked with only the "M" for Masterpiece cues. They are not Lambros custom cues. They are what they are...a good playing, quality cue at an affordable price. Unfortunately, the venture did not prove out, and they were discontinued after a very short production life.

I really hope Mike isn't going to make a bunch of these $450 cues. Might be great business for him, but will certainly impact the resale value of his bigger cues.

No worries, Mike discontinued these cues a few years back, they were monster players for the money. I've had two or three, they were great, but not quite on par with the Lambros customs I've owned and currently play.

Don't know who his apprentices would be since its a 2 man shop only.

I discussed these with Mike about 2-3 years ago. These were done my an apprentice that no longer works for Lambros custom cues if I recall correctly.
