Lucky to be here

God was looking after me while I slept yesterday as I woke up having a stroke, jumped in the shower and made it to the hospital in time to only have left leg and left arm numbness and very little control over either. I can walk slowly without a cane or walker and didn't have any speach problem's and they say the arm and leg will get close to normal in a few weeks. Don't know how much the floppy bridge hand will hurt my pool playing but might find out tonight, after begging the Dr. to let me go home tonight. My elevated blood pressure and sugar levels were the cause so the parties over.--Leonard

Take care of yourself buddy! :wave2:

hi Leonard...

WOW! what a great post; one that you could not have made if things turned differently

we are all so happy for the way things turned out and wish for your full recovery!!

in keeping i will send you one of the few greenies i have ever sent, and that is for living and telling us about it and your hopeful full recovery, but if you don't take good care of yourself, it will be the last greenie you get from me!!!!

take good care and all the best,
smokey

Count your blessings and take care of yourself. I have a dear friend who suffered a stroke eight months ago and his right side is paralyzed. His cue hangs in my shop in the hopes that one day he will be able to use it again.
Sadly,I honestly doubt that day will ever come.
Get well, stay well! Steve

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery and a steady bridge. :)

Good thoughts and a prayer sent your way, sir.

Best,
Brian kc

Damn Leonard, hate to hear about this bud. I hope you get back to 100% (or whatever % you normally function at :)) real soon. GL in the rehab.

I'm very happy you are still with us. I hope you are feeling better and continue to do so !

Thanks again guys and please understand that I was very lucky this time and within 48 hours now I am back at least 70% and so scared that I am eating right and trying to control the diabeties and blood pressure. K town have some fun at the open next week and win a few dollars. I don't have to tell Jay Helfert that he always bets the right way--Leonard

I bet on Mika :(

Jay you made an easy choice there it looked like a coinflip to me and add the fact that Mika had Shanes number for a while, but in the end SVB is a 10 ball monster. The question now is who to bet on next the Hatcheman or SVB as this should be a war.--Leonard
