I have a question concerning the stream, while I was having issues I measured my
download speed. It was 1.5 mps could it be borderline for a stream like this?
I know this is not something I have much control over. Going to see how the afternoon matches go and get another reading.

I stopped trying to figure this shit out years ago. I am currently at my dad's place - the stream is pretty much flawless. Last night it started to freeze and I checked the wifi and found that my computer had connected to the neighbor's wifi on it's own. Years ago I was trying to watch a TAR match from here and nothing I did helped so I gave away my access and went to play pool for the weekend. I think sometimes you just get a good connection and sometimes you don't.

I will ususally reboot the computer and make sure everything that can eat up bandwidth is shut down and then try it. Having said that I have been at times on my connection in China going through a VPN and had three streams going flawlessly.

So honestly, I think you have to keep trying different things, different browsers, or whatever until you get a good clear connection. I liken all this to the telephone in 1920. In ten years we probably won't even think about this anymore.

I do believe that is a low speed and could be your problem.

BTW I showed this to Jim and he tried to send you an email, not knowing if you are the same person.

Without the benefit of a wireless site survey (where I'd basically walk around your place with a laptop loaded with special wireless tools to map out your wireless coverage), I can recommend a couple things to minimize your wireless signal wonkiness:

1. If your AP (access point) is capable of both 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals (e.g. 802.11 "b", "g", and "n" for 2.4GHz, and 802.11 "a" and "n" for 5GHz), always prefer 5GHz. REASON: the 2.4GHz band is what we in the IT industry call the "wild, wild west" band -- i.e. every single consumer device that uses wireless is in this band; e.g. cordless landline phones, garage door openers, wireless thermostats, etc. Additionally, most interference from non-wireless devices occurs in this band as well -- e.g. those "Eat at so-and-so" coiled-tube neon signs you see in the windows of restaurants; outdoor neon signs lighting up at night; those yellow sodium street lamps (especially if they are flickering), etc. 5GHz, on the other hand, is relatively recent, and the only thing you might find interference from, are cordless landline phones that operate in the 5GHz range.

2. If you have a choice of what 802.11 specification to use, I'd recommend the following, in this order:
802.11n 5GHz
802.11a (5GHz by default)
802.11n 2.4GHz
802.11g (2.4GHz by default)
802.11b (2.4GHz by default)

Notice that you have the option within the 802.11n to select the band -- whether 5GHz or 2.4GHz. That is to maintain compatibility with all the previous specifications. But given the option, always choose 5GHz.

3. Configure your wireless adaptor's settings to "prefer" the settings you created for the particular location you're at. This way, you're less likely to be flip-flopping with other signals that bleed over from somewhere else.

4. If you still find that on occasion, your device keeps wanting to connect to some neighbor's wireless signal, you may want to relocate where you're sitting. Perhaps you're in a "blind spot" for your particular AP (access point), and the neighbor's signal is just plain stronger. Or perhaps you're getting interference from something else (e.g. nearby neon sign, garage door opener, cordless landline phone) that's causing the signal to drop, and your device looking for alternate signals to connect with. Don't underestimate what interference can do. Sometimes, you can be sitting right underneath the AP you're connecting to, and you're still experiencing droppages / reconnects to something else. It could be that you're receiving REFLECTIONS (bounces) of the wireless signal from some nearby metallic object -- which your device sees as a repeat of something that was already sent [crosstalk, or "man in the middle" attack] and rejects the signal altogether. (This situation is common in industrial, manufacturing, or even wood shops with heavy machinery like drill presses, lathes, metal shelves, etc. It also can occur in data centers where you have rows of heavy metal equipment racks and dense servers.) A wireless site survey with special tools would unveil this.

I could go into the benefits of using a wireless controller with lightweight APs, over individual "fat" APs, but that's an entirely different discussion and is not something you'd find being discussed with "home" wireless installations. (Wireless controllers are not cheap.)

Anyway, I hope that's helpful.

1.5 mps is slow a bit, but It is usually not your speed; most likely the server (the website) that Accue-stats (AS) use. It is like the server's company is a big water tank, and feeds many pipes (connections) the more on it, the less water (bandwidth) you get; if you need to know for sure, disconnect from Accu-Stats match, and click on a youtube link (they have huge tank), if it comes choppy, then it is your internet service in your area, too many people around you sucking all the juice, that is if people watching Accuestats say it is good stream; if all complain, then it is where the stream comes from, many subscribers joined (over loaded Accu-Stats allocated bandwidth, or too many events being supported by the server company (such as Ustream, do not know which company AS uses)
 
I watched for 10 minutes and then unbeknownst to me-My Internet totally crashed- i thought it was just the stream but when i woke up this AM-couldn't get online at all.

SO where can i get results, standings etc? Never mind- found them

I do with the streams were louder for the hearing impaired. The others can always turn their volume down, we can't turn it up more. Johnnyt

AVW is what is used and it has been very reliable. It is the same thing TAR uses.

AND btw there is info on the ppv page about past problems that is important to read if you have problems.

In Fla i couldnt view TAR or you guys period until i paid for a ' Proxy Service' The browser IE, Chrome, FF made no difference and Chromecast wouldnt work at all down there. I called for the level 4 tech and all that-they said no ISPs were blocked but im sure they were wrong. That AVW wouldnt even threaten to open-Once i got the Proxy servrice- no problem

Here in NY i get AVW no problem and Chromecast works for any video shown within the page but that little pop up AVW thing is 'uncastable' Going back to the HDMI cable is no big deal though.

Not blaming or faulting you guys in any way-Anything can happen with computers.

I don't think Chromecast can be used this way. Because the AudioVideoWeb window opens with no browser bar you can't do the "cast this tab" option. I tried it and can't see a way to do it. You're stuck I think with using a cable to use the tv as a monitor.

Without the benefit of a wireless site survey (where I'd basically walk around your place with a laptop loaded with special wireless tools to map out your wireless coverage), I can recommend a couple things to minimize your wireless signal wonkiness:

1. If your AP (access point) is capable of both 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals (e.g. 802.11 "b", "g", and "n" for 2.4GHz, and 802.11 "a" and "n" for 5GHz), always prefer 5GHz. It's quite helpful. We have this problem in our house in China. With the router just a room away it's a dead zone in the bedroom EXCEPT for some devices.
