I never did find out anything as to the original price but I have a feeling it was one of the cheapest ones. The pic from the catalog doesn't really do it justice though, the wood is actually pretty nicely " figured ". Cue is ( assuming it still is ) in great condition, I'd say easily 8/10 if not a 9. Surprisingly the original wrap was still in perfect condition too. I have no interest in selling but would you have a guess Doc on its value ?
I really try not to get into values, but certainly these cues do have solid value. In general a coupe or three hundred should not be out of line for a nice one. The plain cues somewhat less.
Condition is everything. Some of them had micarta ferrules too, which is a plus.
Different joint styles and pins. Lots of things to consider. And of course, the buyer dictates the value today. It's a buyers market.
An extra original shaft is a huge value IMHO. I would love to have one for my Mali.
