It was mentioned about how much pool Daz and Bartrum plated over the past 2 days, race to 100 10ball in a very close set. Congrats to both players for going the distance. I didnt bet it-Daz and CB are friends and I didnt want to bet against either one and I couldnt figure out who to bet on anyways. I just put this post below in a different thread in response to how long they played over the 2 days.
I know CB can play forever, I dont know about Daz so I didnt mention him in the post as I wanted it to be accurate. Daz is one hell of a player and while I didnt mention him in the post below on marathon players, I did want to say something about him here in this thread. He is a champion and it took Chris everything he could come with to win last night. It could have went the other way-and a rematch would be great.
marathon players and my dream of being one...
Chris could have played the race without a break, there is no doubt about that, he can play 36 hours straight and still play as good as he would in the first 3 hours in the 36th hour, he will have a few patches of not-to-good play, but those are off set by catching a gear which he can do at hour 36. I aint see anything like it,
I wish I could play those hours. I tried a couple times and it was useless-I was 18-20 years old so it wasnt age-i'm just not built with stanima. I just dont have it and thats something I awalys wanted-bad, real bad. I thionk it would be cool to go to the pool room get your gear ready(not dope) gear meaning cues, shafts, tips ready. A ice chest of Mountain Dew, water, food(healthy stuff), bananas. I'd get about 2 pounds of baby powder-though I could need more.
Get warmed up knowing that your about to be in action for 36 hours and not have a back ache, or sore feet that hurt etc. Just knowing that you can go until the job is done. Man what a confidence boost that would be. And it would be fun too because you would know deep down that even if your behind your never out-your never fighting the clock. Even the chemical players are fighting the clock and other issues. But to be like CB, Artie bordendorfer or Monk who all 3 can play from friday night until monday morning natural would be a great gift.
