Mark cantrill please send me my refund

Glad this is getting cleared up, let's just put this to rest and get on with life. I enjoyed the event, and I'm hopeful that there will be more in the future. We all know there can be technical issues, but they seem to get fewer and fewer as we gain more experience with streaming. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
The other thingthat kinda bothers meis that he already had a dispute going with Ustream and yet he was coming after me at the same time for the refund maybe a chance to double dip? I am done with this thread, like I said allbut oneperson hasbeen taken care of at this point and I hope to move on to my current projects. I have sent Richard a pm asking for his paypal address. Once I get it it will be handled.

I never said one word about ruining your name. I did say that I would post the way things went down. Is there anything that I stated that was a lie? It sure is funny the only way to get you to reply was to drag this out here on AZ. I guess you never got my PMs or phone messages. Right?

First of all this will be handled by the end of the day.

Secondly Richard Edwards (Justabanger2) in the begining sent me a email that was not very nice. Right as I was in the midst of the fallout of the whole thing. Saying basically and this is almost a quote "I feel like igot f*$cked on this deal and I want a refund or I will go on AZ forums and ruin your name. As I was reading this he called and I explained that I was going to make it right with everyone. At this point Ustream was giving us some mixed answers as to how things were going to go down and so I was uncertain myself as to how it should be handled. So I told him I will start taking names and that way I could go to them with the list and get the $$ back from them. So I did tell him to cancel his dispute and not very long after that I found out that Ustream wanted to handle everything and it would take 30-60 days. I told Richard don't cancel your dispute and he said it was too late he had already done so. Yes this was my bad and soI told him again I will make it right just please give me some time to get through all this and get more info from Ustream.

At this point everyone who wanted a refund has got it except Richard. He will get his $25.00. Richard you have created more fuss than anyone in this whole deal, I understand you want your $25.00 but the threats and barage of PMs, emails phone calls etc make people want to ignor you. Most have gone about this a little different and all have been happy and got what they wanted. Maybe a little advice for the future oh and when you want something no matter if you are in the right or not I would suggest don't start the line of communication with a threat or inthis case a promise. I guess to hurt my rep.

You're out of line holding his money just because he was rude to you from the beginning. You say everyone was refunded BUT him? That's just petty and no way to do business.

You're the one who has hurt your reputation in my opinion.

I never tried to hide the fact the I filed with PP I told you right from the start that I did. That's when you told me to drop it so you could pay me. Ya that was my original plan to buy a worthless feed knowing I'd get refunded twice. As far as a barage of emails calls and PMs what was I to do when you wouldn't reply. I called and talked to you twice. Sent you two or three emails and 4 or 5 PMs over a two month span. Not what I would call a barage.

Well, I said he was out of line for withholding your refund for petty reasons.

That being said, there is an old expression that says "you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar." Meaning - the whole reason he didn't refund you right away was because he felt you were rude. If you hadn't been rude in the beginning, it might've been resolved much sooner.

Like my momma always said "2 wrongs don't make a right".

I'm just glad to see that he apologized and is going to refund you.

I didn't ask for my $25 back because I figured the runaround just wasn't worth the brain damage. It would have just pissed me off again like the wasted day I spent waiting for the stream to work. I guess I made the right decision.

JB, thank you for your support and kind offer. It is appreciated but I will not bother you or ask you to donate your $$. I will take care of this, thanks again.

That is fine. But I do want to pay someone for this stream. I didn't feel that ustream deserved half the money for what they didn't provide. So give me your pp and I will send you the 25 and the you distribute it as you see fit.

Don't make me spend this 25 on a massage here because I guarantee THAT will have a happy ending! :-)

I'm pretty sure you have hurt your rep all on your own by admitting you didn't pay the guy because he made a fuss. That's not good for business.

Clarification from my end of things.

I am going to TRY to clarify some things here... the chain..

Mark Cantrill - was the exeutive producer of the event however he had no connection to monies coming in at all from the stream nor did I.
Airart1 - Investor - Banker - Local coorindater out in Lincoln
TvMike.tv - Live stream production - DVDs

The money was purchased on my channel but went straight to ustream, then after 60 days the money went to the Banker even though accidently they sent it to me first and I was like how nice.. then I sent it back.

So never in any of this had I access to any records of who purchased the event, who paid, any paypal information at all. The way the event was setup is in layers. Technically this is bad for business all around because during the broadcast nobody could tell who bought tickets or who didn't. You would have to contact ustream for the customer support on that.

But outside of hosting your own stream providing the bandwidth the payment module etc there really are very little options for this type of broadcast so we did what we could.

As far as my responses to people at the time I simply was doing what I could and because of this entire time of trying to resolve things on my end technically testing everything the 8 ball portion of the match has the most errors in it. And as far as telling people the stream is up for me... even though it wasn't for you was the truth. The issue was ustreams flow when sent to the ppv server some requests got a good server and some got a bad server. Just so happens that my test request got a good server.

At the time we had no clue what was the problem and I was not authorized to just open up the broadcast. I was a hired geek so to speak and I respected that chain of command. At my earliest conveinience I made Mark and Bob aware of the issues at hand and they will testify to that no question. When I was told after we had a meeting to take the stream FREE and well deal with ustream later I was relieved in fact because the shit storm on these forums was of the nastiest degree against all our names.

Afterall it was my intention to produce this match in the highest quality for the benefit of all in the pool world. Up until this point I don't think any streamed matches have ever had the production levels as this match did. I wanted to make sure this match set the bar for production values. All that has been throughly lost in the shit storm that quickly ensued.

I was delighted actually because so many more people in the billiard world will see my work. Simply put, I know my work is excellent and for Sherodaka and I to produce this event was a great stepping stone to getting more business which is why we did this event.

The DVD box set is an after thought of the live production and costs and connections to the event itself or the PPV at this point are non existent. It would be my choice to FREEly give away my time and energy to make up for these problems overall and I simply cannot do that. I offered a $10 discount as small incentive to puchase not as a slap in the face and I hope that is understood respectfully.

Outside the small errors on disc 1, honestly I don't think in the entire history of billiards are you going to get to own such an esteemed and highly produced match so cheap at only $55 shipped.

You can buy it on the website for $55 or if you message me directly on here I will give you $10 off the price for the people who felt damaged by the errors with this production.

I hope this post clarifys some things.

Sincerely, TvMike

smart man, it sure hasn't been worth the hassle.

I read most of this thread and am truly amazed.. I didn't see any apologies or words of appreciation....just bickering. Makes one wonder about future transactions.
