Calling a Tascarella masterful is redundant! Thank you Marcus for another series of stunning pictures. I always enjoy your gallery posts. Rep for this one.

the ones with the tusks Pete T. took and the rest i took today.......

I saw the thread at lunch time but had to wait until this evening to see the pictures (photobucket is blocked at work).
Now I can see what all the great reviews are about.
That is one incredible cue...
Thanks for posting and enjoy that beauty.

Holy shit! That's like...5 lifetimes worth of ivory. Wow.

If your extremely picky about the grain showing and certain other nuances, then this is about 4 years worth for a high end cue maker making around 50 cues a year.

Congrats, Tim.....definitely off the charts with that one !! :)

yea i don't know what chart it would stay "within"....:D ...this cue is just, lets just say one of those that at least for my taste is on a chart all it's own!......i'm just blown away......it looks amazing, constructed the same and it plays, well i dry hit with it and ran a rack of 10 ball!!...feels just like a Tascarella should.........right! thanks again!

THAT WAS HARDER TO FIND THAN PETE'S CUES ARE.

yea but you could still get some with a plane ticket, guide and a big GUN!!! ;) using that method with Pete would just you fired back at! :D

skins ---------would much rather have Pete's cues........

i've had requests for more info on this cue so here it is...the full cue description is:

Forearm:
- piloted ivory joint
- nickel silver joint rings
- clear straight grain maple forearm
- ebony prongs with black, mahogany, lt. blue, and maple veneers (ivory diamond and dot inlays)
- bushka ring (thinner silver), ebony and ivory alternating

Wrap:
- antique smooth (very slight texture) leather wrap

Sleeve:
- 2 13/16 inches long ebony
- ebony and ivory rings (thicker silver)
- stack veneered ivory diamonds (prong veneer colors)
- ivory diamond and dot inlays
- ivory butt cap (attached with an original Balabushka socket cap bolt/screw)
- brown rubber bumper

the butt of the cue weighs 16.6 oz. and the shafts are both an exact 4 oz. the cue is made to Balabushka specs. the shafts are tight grain triple A grade maple, 13 mm with ivory ferrules, and high grade lepro pad backed tips.

i hope that helps.........

Perhaps

The best Tasc I have ever seen. This cue makes me think we AZers should really do a "Cue of the Year".

This cue gets my vote.

AND that says something.

Couple things

not quite but considering all the white in the cue is ivory it's worth it to me!.....not to mention the socket cap bolt/screw that Pete used to secure the ivory butt cap is an original Balabushka part, just makes it even more special! :)

skins ----------------- very very happy...............

I wonder how many parts from Balabushka are still there, and how many did he get when he bought all that stuff.

Probably an interesting story.

i know there wasn't a whole lot....i don't know what parts are left, less one less socket cap bolt/screw ;).. but i know there isn't much left. it was gracious thing for him to put that piece in my cue knowing this. and thanks for the great comments on the cue!

hey Ken,
you've had/have your share of great cues and you know a special cue when you see one and i'll tell ya', this one is a gem. it's funny, i told my wife that i never thought i'd ever get to be in the company of those who were lucky enough to own such nice work, Keith/Pete/Barry/Joe G.......etc........well i guess i was wrong :) .......and yes a cue of the year would be a great thing here!

skins ---------- could have C.O.T.Y. bias......
