One of my best friends from Ohio was visiting today on his way to the army base over in Ft. Hood.

He used to manage a place up in tulsa I frequented and I used to help him with his game. He hasn't been playing but his mechanics looked very nice, I was impressed with how nice he looked on the ball. Joel and I even had built him a cue back in 05 that he still has. I did a little clean up work on it for him and changed the tip and ferrule. Still plays great., brass joint looked suhhhweeeeettttttt.....going to get some pics to show yall soon, was nice seeing that old cue :)

Anyways we went up to one of my local hangouts. Playing some scotch doubles and getting off to a slow start. After being there a few hours, a friend tells me this guy wants to play.

I didn't really feel like doing anything, but my friend and the locals were all expecting to see me get in the box.....so I didn't disappoint.

We started playing $20/rack 10 ball (REAL RULES) he gets up 3 games and everyone is kinda freaking out....told one of my friends to get the hell away from me acting distraught over 3 dam games. I get a game ahead and he gives me the $20

So i buckle up and we bump it to $40/rack. Played here for awhile and I get up $160......so he pays me off.

He asked to bump the bet but I didn't have a ton of bread on me so I said no......he balked for a sec and kinda threatened to pak it in......so we played a $60 game, Which I won that too.

Then we bumped it up to $100 a rack and eventually I was up $500 just on those games b/c I had been paid off the rest already.

The place was going to close so he wanted to play $200/rack to give him a chance to get even......hell I was feeling good and figure WTF drop a few more racks on him and be up over a grand.......

we talked and decided that we would finish playing at my place on my home table.

We played the first $200/rack and I lost that one......and then I missed the 9 on the last rack which I really did think I hit very well......but screw it.....so he got back $400 of the money he had already lost.

I was still up a pretty good amount, and we came to the crib.

We ended up deciding to play 9 ball.....which I didn't want to do and was thinking about it and he offered that we could play 9 ball by 10 ball rules......Told him, I'm down for that.

So we played one race to 7 at my crib and I ended up winning 7-4.

Biggest shocker of the night was making 5 balls on the break playing 10 ball!!!! WTF I break solid and my 10 ball break is above average but holey moley that was insane.

I really just got super tired later in the evening and actually was glad we bumped the bet b/c I don't think I would have fared as well playing for chump change since i was wore out.......had to have a strong reason to be alert. We just got done playing an hour ago at about 2AM

I actually haven't played for that much money in quite some time, I won't lie that I was nervous as sh*t at first but kept it together and fell into it pretty well.

Its very unusual I get a game down here thats decent and I have to say that this guy was really good action....I had a great time playing the guy. There was no BS he was real cool.

My buddy from Ohio hasn't seen me since late 05 and we are really close, as he used to follow along with me and watch me play alot back then. So it was kinda like a cool blast from the past for the both of us.

I really did enjoy myself, nerves or stress tired or whatever.....I had a dam good time matching up tonight more fun than I've had in a min. It was a good rush and was nice to knock the rust off.....the good chunk of cheese wasn't bad either.

Played on my own as usual but the guy is interested in staking me 60/40 which aint bad....not sure If I'll let him cuz lil kee' aint trying to get in no mess formed by others. But if he's as cool as he was this evening we may have to strike a deal.

Just nice to get a game with a non nut hugger and compete without the garbage....it really was a pleasure.

I'd rather not name names but we need more guys like him in our area, good action makes for good action.

I feel so good about the dam night I might just give him all his money back......nah the nights not that great lmfao :)
