He posted a long letter on his FB page but i can't find a translation. Guessing he chose not to cross the picket line and bowed to the a-holes at the WPA.

i translated it, he wasn't happy over the situation. played poorly in qatar too. he's the main guy getting funding from his federation.

chang and alex have been gravitating towards heyball lately, which is WPA affiliated. they're also good 10b and regular 8b (predator) players. idk if that is a factor for them going forward.

I've tried watching Chin8ball but i find it boring as hell. I get the skill required but its not very fun to watch. Their big events do pay pay big bucks for sure.

Where is the Hanoi Open being live streamed? I don't see it listed on DAZN's upcoming events.

All 3 Ko brothers are there. Now, does the WPA announcement supersede the ACBS announcement? ACBS said they will ban Asian players if they play in MR events, immediately was my interpretation. WPA said starting March 1. We will know one way or the other if these Asian players are allowed to play in the upcoming WPA 8 and 10 ball World Championship.

i see gary wilson is giving it another go, and in doing so misses a snooker ranking event. if he gets past nick malai he'll play ko pin yi in WQ.

also, again a few first match landmines in form of unranked monsters. euro player joao grilo drew patric gonzales and elliot sanderson drew the little devil, kuo po cheng

I see the top seeds are playing the qualifiers. I wonder if that's actually a disadvantage. Those qualifiers might actually be top tier.

Similar to when Shane was matched up with a top Filipino (but MR unranked) on the first round of the Peri Open.

They are supposed to have it...but since Vietnam is 11 hrs ahead of EST it will be mostly recorded.

Matchroom is likely incensed by Quoc's decision to sit this event out. Quoc, the only Vietnamese player in Top 100 based on Fargo, has been the poster boy for the rise of pool in Vietnam and surely has a lot to do with Matchroom's decision to produce an event in Vietnam. Imagine if FSR and Alcaide had skipped the Spanish Open.

Wilson didn't actually choose to miss it. He played in a qualifier in the UK and failed to qualify to play in the awkwardly titled "Wuhan Open".

ahh. i'm glad he did. wilson is lacking in jumping and breaking but he plays pool fast. seems to have gotten the pool bug and he's stubborn enough to wanna do better

i imagine that was a triumph for ACBS / WPA but for matchroom.. they just changed the promo graphics. show must go on. they can't ban the fans and i expect it to get raucous in single elim

i wonder if any billiards players signed up. quyet chien and vinh bao are two big stars in vietnam

For DAZN subscribers, the DAZN site now shows upcoming coverage beginning on Saturday for this event.
