I am setting up a Bar-Box match between David Matlock & Jesse Bowman (both have agreed) to be played 8 ahead for LARGE.
Three separate matches on a Mon, Tues & Wen.
This would be broadcast LIVE via Internet feed and would NOT be recorded for future sales or viewing. Either watch it LIVE with an Internet feed or be here in St. Louis.
The question I need an answer to is:
Would you pay $10 (per set) to watch any or all of these matches?
There would be a discount for a three-day package.
This would be done right (or I won't do it) using the highest quality equipment available.
I intend this to develop into a monthly event showcasing various players & games that will be dictated by market driven demand. There is much more to this (than most can imagine) and I will be forwarding information as it develops.

Ps. Please be serious with any response as this is being done with a considerable investment. I think it can only help Pool, Pool Players & ME.

Why not tape it and sell dvds? I don't have broadband so I don't know if I could even watch it on the computer I use.
I think it may be better to use something more similar to the movie industry model.OldHasBeen said:I am thinking that everyone that WANTS to see this will. With enough advance notice, I figure anyone can get it at their computer OR see it at their local poolroom, bar, office or friends.
By not offering a DVD, I am hoping that will enhance the LIVE aspect as the only way to ever see this match. I am convinced that Live Internet is the future for not just pool, but many other under funded sports broadcast.
