Max Eberle Backer Fund...PLEASE READ!

Good evening all...

I thought about it today and now I'm in a bit of a quandry...I was fortunate enough to be part of Max's backer fund....However, I was in Grady's corner for the last month or so on his path to get an invite...and then the horrible happened and my prayers are with Mr. Mathews and his family right now.

Herein lies my quandry.....The backing fund team or Team Grady....I think I just solved it in my head. :)

Dear Grady and Max,
I would respectfully like to ask the both of you to kick some ass and ensure that you are heads up in the finals. When this happens it would make for a great experience for me. This would be the first time in my life that I would be able to root truely, honestly and equally for both competitors. Not that my opinion is worth much, nor should either of you feel obligated to oblige my request...BUT, that would be awesome for a lot of us I'd think.

So, with all that said. Go get yours gentlemen. No disrespect to the rest of the field, but I'm feeling a history making situation coming on.

Oh yeah I forgot about that...Grady was actually there you just don't see him, LOL. :)

Grady is one of my favorite commetators of all time and players too. Remember his historic run at the Brunswick world open? One game away from first place but he sure showed his game.

My heart goes out to Grady for his recent loss yet let him know she is still here in spirit.

Max, Scott Lee asked me to pick you up at the airport Friday. I spoke to him Sunday. Will you or he get me the information on your flight? I think he said it is Friday at 8 pm. Is it US air? I will send you my phone number in a pm.
 
Dennis...I have an all day lesson in Brooklyn on Friday, and have to be down in DC by Saturday morning, so no I won't be able to make the tournament. I'll be rooting for Max, from the road, through the internet! :thumbup:

a bump, to keep this thread up front. The week is progressing. Mad Max is practicing like crazy, every day, and is ready for NJ. He leaves ID, for NJ, on Friday. We'll try and keep updates posted here, on Max's match play!

another bump to the front...Max is in NJ. I saw him last night, at Comet Billiards. He's playing well, and will get in a little more practice this weekend, before the tournament starts on Monday evening. Although I won't be at the event (I have to be back in MI by Tues), I'm hoping others will post updates on Max's matches (and others too!).
