I don't frequent the Tap any more. I heard some kid that plays at Browns won it. Brad?

I used to be in there every day. I ran around with Scott Wright and Coltrain, Greg Brooks, Roger Jackson.

Sidenote, not to hijack this excellent thread - I met PeeWee at a Brass Tap tourney for the first time recently. With little or no prompting I quickly learned this short, long haired, bearded 60-something year old was hitting a 37 year old and a teenager. I was like, "ok dude, sure thang..."

Tony was a great host, btw, and a super joint he's got - wish it were closer - my game would improve fast or I would go broke.

I've also played Fountain Inn Red. I didn't like it on the barbox. It was years ago, though. Not that if he were alive I'd like it now; but, I'd have a much better shot.

Man, Jennie (JAM) really needs to get busy writing THE BOOK on Keith --- way too many entertaining stories out there --- he would be a good character for a real life movie.

My point exactly. Freakin' Danny Basovitch gets a movie deal, and Keith's story gives that the 6 out.

I, personally, have more than ten Keith stories. He's a real hoot. Another time he was in Raleigh he played this guy giving the last five. Well, the guy had no clue. People kept showing him the issue of Keith in Billiards Digest and the guy kept saying, "I don't have time to look at a fu#$ing magazine, I'm gambling with this guy." I'll save more of the details of this one for later.
 
Its interesting that Randy was called Heroin Randy. He lived in Gainesville off and on in the late 80s. In Gville he was called "Drug Addict Randy". Just goes to show that pool rooms are the same all over.

First time I played him was at 301 Snack bar in Florence, SC. The woman staked him in this dump. I mean dump. Damn guy missed one ball for the first seven games. He went outside for about fifteen minutes and was in a sweat when he came back in. I asked for the seven, and broke even. I could've played him even after he came back. Man, I thought he was gonna fall over and die.

To answer your question...if I were a betting man, yes.

Keith is one of the "stars" of my book. I have a few douzzies about him in there. He is definitely an American original.

Pete Horn gets out of line on the nine ball playing Strickland and banks the nine four rails dead center pocket. That was unreal. Smooooth player.
 
Talk to some of the old timers at Hard Times in Bellflower and you will not believe how the stories will roll. Your toes will curl while you shake your head and smile. Can't believe how much fum he was. He'd win 5K on Friday and be bumming smokes Sunday morning. If Los Alamitos Race Track hadn't been so close he would probably would have been giving the world the 5 out.

I bet Jay has a treasure trove of stories he has yet to give out.

Come on Jam and Keith get the printing presses rolling before your main customer base dies off.
