Well the other stuff this guy sells is mostly new his feedback is good. That stuff is nice I should know I sell the same Cues. I can do the extra shaft on the radial pins but they don't always mate up the same. I perfer to do just the original one. Anyway I offer same pricing to all AZ people. I highly recomend the 4- pointers. Great bar stick. They hit good. I got 7 guys in my local bar using one.http://cgi.ebay.com/POOL-CUE-CASE-H...ryZ21212QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

would you think something is fishy about a seller on e-bay NOT wanting to give his phone number out when a buyer requests to speak to him about an item he is selling ? thanks

Yes, I encourage phone conversations. There is just more trust when you hear a voice. Be patient! I am sure that Keith will yea or nea when he gets time. JAM we need a picture of the EARTHQUACK's sidewinder stroke with the Meucci Gambler in his hand. What's up Keith. Did you use this one at LJII's or ever?? Good Luck from home

The name of the seller selling this item is actually pacificbillardsupply.

I bought one of the 4-pointers mentioned by rackem a few months ago, but I will say that my experience was a classic example of why it is difficult to buy a cue online without actually hitting it with it first.

The cue is actually very nice to look at, but had I actually been able to hold it I wouldn't have bought it. It is incredibly thin, which I hate in a cue. It has more whip to the entire cue than any I have ever owned. You can literally knock your palm against the forearm when it is screwed together and it will vibrate for 3 or 4 seconds.

Anyway, my intention was to use it as a bar cue, but now I have switched to using it as a break cue. If I can't ever master how to break without creating all the English with it I am going to sell or trade it to someone who doesn't mind the whip.

I'm not saying it isn't a nice cue or worth the money, but I really wish I could have held it before I bought it.

Meucci

If I'm not mistaken, Pacific Billiard Supply is run by Ed Ames and his wife. Both are very nice people who also run a booth at the Reno Open tournaments. Ed buys and sells high end cues as well as production cues. I think there is a recent thread in the Cue Gallery on the cue Pete Tonkin made for him. Ed's been around the game for a long time.

I would have to totally disagree with your reveiw of these cues. Of course it is possible that you recieved one with a bad shaft. I not only sell these cues, I also play at the bar with one and have test drove many others. They are far from whippy and deflection is minimal. My regular cue has a Predator shaft and I have no problem switching back and forth. I also have one on the wall at my buddies house that I break with. I have at least 15 to 20 8-ball breaks on his 8-footer and no trouble squatin the rock on my break. Anybody that would like to try one, I will offer a satisfaction or your money back warrantee. I have sold hundreds of these cues since Palmer first introduced them and have yet to hear any complaints.:)

Now back to the original Question. Keith did you ever own this Meucci Gambler??

rackem:

The cue I am talking about is not the new Palmer which I agree with you hits nice.

I am talking about the unmarked Hammerhead like the following:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21212&item=7219852028

This is the exact cue I have and it isn't the shaft that is the problem. The forearm is so thin that the ENTIRE cue whips back and forth when you hit it with your palm.

I say this is a Hammerhead only because the exact same cue with the Hammerhead logo is being sold by the same seller for a higher price.
