Mechanics... Diomond Tables

You really are a funny guy......I broke more champions gambling than you shook hands with. Playing 9-ball.....buddy you can pick your favorite color playing me......now that's one you have no chance beating me at. Lmao

But I know your just kidding.....I'm not dead yet......I'm in my prime. Lmao

Mark Gregory

I highly doubt any mechanics are gonna question your pool playing abilities, if they do, lemme know I want part of that action! ;-)

Glen, you don't want to go down that road. I beat you three racks straight when my table was done and I'm a C+ at best. I would bet Mark has a few gears that I don't. I think Mark has a valid argument in this thread. Glen tends to tout himself as the be-all/end-all of mechanics, but I for one (my wife makes two) would never let him pull in my driveway again. He did great work, but took twice as long as stated, called me at midnight one night, and was rude to both my wife and I. We catered to his every need and he never once told my wife thank you. Zach, on the other hand, was very respectful and is welcome here anytime (and he did all the work). When Glen pulled out of our driveway my wife said that Glen is never welcome here, and if I need table work done to buy Zach a plane ticket to do it.

Did we play for something?...I don't think so, so who cares. And there must be a reason I don't remember you, or your wife...for what ever reason that is, who really cares, I know I don't. Are you the cusomer with the GC that had the broken slates?...never mind, it don't make any difference anyway, you wouldn't have enough money to bring me back anyway...for any reason;)

That's OK Mark, we can play some 14.1 next time we meet up;)

Buddy I play all game anything with round balls on any table. I played real well. All games. But we can play what you like if cross paths again.

Mark Gregory.

We can do that Mark, next time I'm in your area we can play some cheap $100 games, same as I played John Schmidt, even up, 100 point games.

Lmao how'd that work out for you? Do you just hate money? Come back south of the mason Dixon- is there a waiting list to play? I want on it! And I will bet my own on the side when you want to play mark- real cash AND vcash lol

Peanut gallery...lmao still biting off more than you can chew huh- on the table or off the table. And it's no secret I have no problem driving to where you are- hmm maybe if you can get through me then the next one up the ladder can play. Eventually maybe you can work your way up the food chain. Personally- I just want your best game. For a nominal fee of course:wink: and no peanuts

On the other hand, Glen was such a great guy and we had a great time when he worked on my table on two different occasions. Glen put in so much time to make sure my table was the best. Way beyond the prices he charged. He is so knowledgeable and shares it openly and I trust him! You can trust Glen! I can't believe you had issues with Glen enough to say that! So what if he took longer? To me it is a plus to be able to share time with Glen.

It had more to do with the way he treated my wife. She fed him like a king and he never once said thank you. He left cigarette butts all over outside, Dr. Pepper cans and trash all over inside, then took a dump and bragged about how he stunk up that end of the house when there was a can of spray next to the head. I gave him a DeWalt drill that was like the ones he uses and he just looked at it and said "huh", no thank you. We are very neighborly and treated him the way we treat any visitor in our home. He is a classless tool that will never be welcome here. It's no wonder he is single and lives in a box truck. He has the maturity of a ten year old. Zach, on the other hand, was very respectful and a pleasure to deal with. Glen belittled him a time or two, but he just kept working and kept his mouth shut. I felt sorry for him because he got stuck with Glen way longer than he originally promised.

No no can answer my questions????

This thred was not intended to find out which mechanic has or IS the biggest dick. I thought if I post questions in this forum called "Talk To Mechanic" not "Talk About A Mechanic" some of the BEST mechanics in the country would step up. WELL? I am very good at my craft and crave all the knoledge I can get my little mind around.

Here are my questions, any takers???

Why does three sided carom rubber have control fabric on the bottom/ flat side?

Why not Diamond black rubber on the 9 footers?

Why does Artemis sell a K66 profile bubber with fabric on the top/ round side yet thier K55 profile has fabric on the flat side/ the bottom like the carom rubber?

If this post sounds like I'm calling you all out it's because I am. If I had the answers I wouldn't be here.

Thanks Again... Dave

I've heard other similar stories..

But yes, Glen is a GREAT traveling table mechanic.

You know what...I have NO idea about what you're talking about, as that is not me or how I act, at anyone's house, and NEVER have. If you'd like, I'm sure I could have Zach back me up on this if you'd like. Further more, why would I even consider taking a drill from you when I have my own? And as far as belittling Zach, not a chance in hell buddy, he's one of the best table mechahic's I've ever had the chance to work with. I think you're way out of line here and just trying to toot your own horn.

Holy shit Dave, I've told you to call me, I'd explain your questions on the phone, as I'm not going to take the time to type out all the reasons here on AZ. If you don't call, then you have nothing to complain about when it comes to not getting answers;)

Do you even know which end of the table the horns go on? and in answering that question, you must know then that the tail goes at the other end, where you'll be racking at, you can get a little 14.1 action too, next time I'm down in "which end is the head of the table" territory...LMAO

On a side note, it's a real good thing I didn't know you were so full of shit like this before I showed up at your house, or I'd have never been there, and I still can't for the life of me remember who you are...must be a reason;)

When a topic comes up for discussion there are often many who may wonder the same things yet never chime in. That's why the views exceed the posts exponentially. When questions are answered they become search able so others who want to know the same things later can find answers without being redundant. Calling you on the phone accomplishes none of what a public forum is about. That's what this is. It's a public forum, not a dating site.
