You get all the cool offers

I cannot say for sure but this sounds like a guy that has run scams here before!

Yea their was that Justin from Illinois that was trying to get sponsors for his dying girlfriend and said he was a pro that won some tourneys in china. I think his name was Justin Ferguson he must have called me 5 times with a different reason for me to give him a cue.

it was suggested

that it might have been better if i had not posted his name, but i seem to rememer that this name had appered in some scams before, so i wanted other builders to get a heads-up. right or wrong its been done, can't undo a post that people have already seen. sorry if i was wrong.

You should buy into it, get his address and send him some scrap wood and then post his address for everyone to see

Look at it on the bright side. You might have a chance with this guy.....his name doesn't strike me that he's a known PRO. :)

Darn, and here I was going to try and hit Joey up for a few cues. Guess it won't work now.

Chuck, I have only built a couple of cues. All my wood is resting at the moment and I have nothing to work on. If you would be kind enuff to send me a couple of Titlist cues to practice on, I would be forever grateful.

i have already shipped them to justin, but sent him a message to send you a couple, so check your post, im sure they will be there soon, he said he would send them right away because hes is on his way to the post office vwith my checks

What's wrong with that proposition?

When I lived in Japan, I called Richard Black to coordinate shipping my cue back to him in Texas to replace a broken ivory ferrule and he told me not to waste my time and money and to go to Richard Helmstetter in Iruma, Japan (ADAM factory) and have it done.

With a little research, I found the phone number for the factory and talked to Richard Helmstetter and found my way to his place. He had them replace my ferrule on the spot and he showed me around the factory and explained things to me.

HE also OFFERED/VOLUNTEERED to let me take a dozen or so cues to Yokota AB to see if anyone wanted to buy them and I'd get a commission. He didn't know me from ADAM (no pun intended) and he didn't ask for any collateral. The only thing he knew about me was that I was in the Air Force and I knew Richard Black.

Maybe it was my honest face.

FWIW, I turned down his offer because I didn't need the money and I didn't want the hassle of trying to sell cues to people who didn't know how to play.

Aloha.
