Who can tell me when the first series of cues was built by Bob Meucci, and the name of the series

I was wondering if anyone really knew
(THIS SHOULD BE GOOD)

Bob started Meucci in 1975 I believe but I also believe he made some before 1975 with a decal / sticker that said Meucci origionals (very Limited). I have a pre catalog chess cue that Bob say's he made late 1973 or early 1974 and only made 3. Meucciman79 showed Bob pictures of it, so that's how i found this info out.
(Thanks Again Meucciman79)

Unless 'series' is part of a trick question, Bob built his very first cues in the mid 60's.

Around this time his was building cues under the name B.M.C

By the late 60's he had taken over the cue department at National Chalk until they moved and he didn't. ;) He kept building cues thru the early 70's and right about 75 is when Meucci Originals became official.

Or something close to that.

It seems pool was popular in 1971 because the headline infers that.It seems that pool being popular to some means pro players being celebrities outside of pool circles or pool culture itself. If pool is popular in their view it validates their interest in it. Thanks for the picks and the headline.

Hi Rob.

I should have known you would have that BMC brochure - I've never seen it before.

Palmer bought their "Wico" vinyl veneered blanks from BMC cues in the 60's - here's a couple of them, they're beauties:

Great questions- Bob worked at Mcdermott, and other shops!

pm sent. I can get my hands on some very nice Bob Muec- cues from the 80' and 90's. 1 of the models was made in green and red (500 made of each only. Plus like 15 more New cues from Bob in 1987. all Origonal markings ! mark

This was just to inform some people that the MO line wasnt Bobs first line of cue he produced, However short the BMC line was it. The BMC will always be his first, thanks 9ballrob for posting the BMC Brochure(hats off to you sir)

The QB line brochure mentioned 1 1/4" ferrules; did all of his early cues have the longer ferrules?

There is a lot of good stuff here, thanks for posting.
