Mike Dechaine vs Yu Hsuan Starting Now 9:15 am EST World 9b

That has to be the best I've ever seen MD shoot. I don't recall him missing a shot. Only had 2-3 sell outs. Hsuan seemed to break and drop 2 balls with shape 90% of the time. Can't believe Mike was able to fade that...

Hsuan is a fantastic player. He played a phenomenal match and Mike had to deliver his very bet to win.

Dechaine vs Dennis Grabe in the next round.

Do you like watching this guy playing ?

Slow as molasses but enormously talented with a big break and a big game. Tough to watch. As I watch the stream, in matches where I have no particular rooting interest, I always root for the faster player.

I'm gonna miss Cheng...... And his air strokes.......

This guy shouldn't be allowed to play in a big tournament again. This is not pool.

I'm sure if he and the other Taiwanese watched you shoot balls into the rails all day that they would say the same thing. I have watched Kevin play in person in some decent action and his cueball control when he is in gear is probably the best in the world next to Dennis. The difference between him and a the rest of the elite field is that he misses sometimes.

Well he must not hit that gear very often because he's 103 on the money only making 5k

Don't believe everything you read. He's made more than 20k gambling in Louisiana and Texas in one month, not counting the tournaments he's knocked off around here.

He's got game and gamble

Mike has became a very very good player in the recent year, as I said in the other thread about him, I was impressed in his turning stone performance, and I am more impressed now, I think he got a good chance of winning this world title, the only worry for me is that Aloisius guy, I think that young man is playing great too. I feel that it's either Aloisius or MD for the tournament, I know its long guess, but I just feel it.

Really seen him gamble better than have tournament success.

Last time I saw he was playing in a tournament , there are plenty of players who can gamble and win but don't fair well in tourneys ,, so I would hardly have considerd him a threat to win this one

Just for clarity, his first name is Yu-Hsuan. It's pronounced YOU-SCHWAN.

Glad to see MD pull it off.

Saw Kevin Cheng win the white diamonds tournament. He played at a regular rate. Not sure what his deal is now.

Yeah, any YouTube I pull up of him doesn't show anything outrageous.

:grin-square: Maybe it is his strategy to annoy his opponents. However, it backfired and just enabled them to take a nap whenever Yu Hsuan is at the table. But seriously, when I see it is his turn to shoot, I switch to another table. The moment I click back to his table, he still has not made his shot. It is like watching paint dry. Not fun at all and so painful to watch.

They playing another round of matches today? Thanks in advance

That is it for today. They will have 4 sessions tomorrow starting at 4 am US EST. Before tomorrow ends, they will be down to 4 players.

Note: Last 32 will be split into 2 sessions, then last 16 and last 8

Maybe he is trying to imitate big Ko's game. Ko does the air stroking, but he generally gets down and shoots within a reasonable amount of time.
